    I think people underestimate the amount of Antony supporters there were and how history is written by the victors with their own propaganda. I don't know necessarily if moving the capital to Alexandria was plausible, but Egypt would be on the same level playing field as Rome during the duration...

    I always thought they would take over Rome and start their own version the empire with the capital being moved to Alexandria. So I wonder what the name of it would be, I figure Roman-Hellenistic since those would be the two prevalent civilizations, but it could have had many different names.

    I mean is it not feasible to say during an alternate battle the two most important leaders find themselves dead by any numbers of factors and causes, and this results in the routing or destruction of their fleet?

    I mean most things were constructed because of Octavian's propaganda and as the old saying goes history is written by the victors. So in this scenario Antony and Cleopatra could have their own propaganda to win people over.
