This is roughly what occurred with the Tocharians and others in China. They effectively synthesized Indo-European culture with native Chinese culture, creating what we know of today as Chinese culture, while still taking most of it's influence from pre-Indo-European groups.
It bothers me too, but I understand where it comes from. Think of it like how many would refer to the Ottoman Empire as the Sublime Porte, not a perfect comparison but the closest I can find.
I'd argue that that would only be far-right if it was done with violent intent as well as an intent to crush/exterminate anyone opposing their views. Catholic missionary work and the promotion of constitutional is hardly far right IMO.
Going a bit far back, Portugal exercised a high degree of influence over Persia, and if they were to be more decentralized or even not unified during that period I could see considerable influence by Portugal to the point where they’d be essentially colonies.
