  1. Crusader Kings III

The Abbassids have completely imploded in my game. Playing as Karenid Persia this makes me very happy.
  2. Crusader Kings III

It's not as feature complete as current CK2. It was never going to be. But it's a damn sight more complete than 2012 CK2 was.
  3. Crusader Kings III

Playing as Vandad Karen for old time's sake. Tough going but I'm slowly carving out a kingdom.
  4. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Yeah the Mongols rule pretty much everything east of me except for a bit of India that’s Chinese. I reached the end date last night (after the reigns of three successive devil children) and have ported to EU4- I’ve got all sorts of internal problems (and am Muslim tech group, irritatingly) but...
  5. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

So Empress Solene the Blessed lived a long and peaceful life, before being succeeded by her son Baldwin X, who proceeded to use her claim that the House D'Anjou were descended from Alexander to justify a full scale invasion of Persia. He spent twenty years conquering it then rather fittingly...
  6. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

My ethnically Chinese, culturally French Empress of Outremer, Solene D'Anjou, Maga of the Order of Hermes and Destroyer of the Islamic faith (because she declared the Empire following her ancestors' conquests...she has never actually fought a war because her threat was so high)...just proved to...
  7. Hearts of Iron IV Thread

I’ve been playing Old World Blues a lot recently, started a game as Caesar’s Legion. It’s 2295 and I’ve been fighting a war with the NCR and Western Brotherhood for 15 years, my forces having pushed as far as The Boneyard (LA) before the front ground to a halt. So now we just throw men at each...
  8. Imperator: Rome

    Kometrios rides again.
  9. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

    Many of them do, iirc.
  10. Julian the Apostate Persian campaign was completely successful but he still died

Jovian only got the job because no one else wanted to deal with the mess of extricating the army from Persia. He was, effectively, the fall guy. With the army victorious the purple looks a lot more appealing.
  11. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

I do this all the time. I got to Cambyses XXI of Karen before an unlucky inheritance struck and stuck me with Vandad II, curse him.
  12. When did the Roman Empire "end?"

I've previously always said 1453, but arguments on this forum have swayed me somewhat towards 1204.
  13. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Yeah, if you get overthrown by a fellow dynast you become them, as I learned after a disastrous first attempt at the Dance of Dragons bookmark in GoT.
  14. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Hmm, apparently CKII mods made before the rules came about are exempt via grandfathering. Which I guess would include GoT and EK, and not much else. Given that the former has almost certainly provided more than a few sales for CKII that's not really surprising.
  15. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Where did you hear this? I know of more than a few mods on moddb, and of course GoT have their own site entirely.
  16. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Where did you get this update from? It's not on the Citadel or P'dox Plaza yet...
  17. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Poor old Julius Nepos. More pertinently though, is there a 2.4.5 compatible version of the mod out now? I thought the most recent one only worked for 2.4.3.
  18. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Playing as who? I've done it as Soissons, who are of course the only legitimate Roman state in the west. :p
  19. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Frankly I think it's my fault for putting Shireen on the throne. She's Rh'llor, so everyone hates her, and we got rebellions all over the place. Littlefinger is guilty too, for trashing the North with Sansa. A united Westeros can stomp the Others, but in this game the country was a shattered...
