It's interesting, but frankly I'm not sure Hamilton could have won the Presidency. He alienated people on both sides of the partisan divide (like, he pissed off every Democratic-Republican ever, as well as John Adams, the other leading Federalist) and had been the subject of the first major US...

Seems like an intense Hamilton presidency. What happened?

I'd have the outline of the country's color, then a inner outline of the country it's supposed to be a client to, and then the rest of the color as the country it's actually subservient to. Spain is a client state of Portugal but is actually subject to the whims of France. It's not the...

I thought most of the beaver trade was towards the OTL border? I recall reading that Winnipeg was the hub. I may well be wrong, through.
  5. Map Thread XIV

Would there have been any reason for the British to hold on to the rest of Rupert's Land after trading posts like Winnipeg and Vancouver were gone, though?

Compulsive Russia. Compost Russia. Complimentary Russia. Complementary Russia. Complete Russia.

If the Soviet Union exists, I cannot imagine a POD that would butterfly the US into not fighting the Soviets off of the North American continent.
  8. Map Thread XIV

But how, when the entire eastern third of OTL Russia is American?
  9. Map Thread XIV

If the US was able to get that far in its invasion, why stop there? There's barely a million people in Edmonton and St. John's combined in OTL 2016. I can see Newfoundland surviving as a separate nation, but even with Edmonton, I just don't see why the US would decide to stop where it did.

How is Canada a Soviet puppet? Actually, how is it a country if what looks like 95%+ of the OTL population is within the US borders?

I know this is pretty soon for an update, but I'm not going to be able to work on this for a while, so I figure I'd post it. I tried to clean up a lot of the water borders and I finished whittling down the OTL borders of states and provinces. I also just realized I forgot Lake Champlain...

Go ahead, if you want! It'd be much appreciated. I'm gonna have my hands full figuring out the exact water/land differences around the coasts, haha. Very true, very true.

Just to get things a bit back on track, here's a WIP of a BAM in northeastern North America. I'm still working on a lot of the smaller details, and cleaning up my rough borders, but I'm liking the way it looks so far, and I figure it could be useful for a lot of secessionist New England...

Skew is an actual word that rather makes sense.

A map for Arizona, based on past interactions with my retired parents.

The Eiffel Tower's OTL longitude is 2°17′40.2″E, according to Wikipedia. That'll be the "0", so you just go one degree over each way to find the OTL equivalent of each of their meridians. This is much easier with a rectangular projection. The worlda and Q-BAM will unfortunately be entirely...
  17. A Blank Map Thread

I took a shot at some of it. I did Japan, Papua + various islands, New Zealand, and some more of Canada. WARNING: NOT GUARANTEED TO BE ACCURATE Seriously. This is probably rougher than the ass of a 70 year-old man who's never wiped. I'm more confident about the stuff on the right side of the...

    But well-made maps!
  19. A Blank Map Thread

If anyone knows the specific elevations mapped out with each color, I'd be willing to attempt some or perhaps all of the blank spots and aim for completion.

I agree. My comment was assuming that Germany was going to do USW no matter what. The "off-hand" was a bit of an understatement. Possibly, but the question is if the US would be willing to go back into complete (or almost-complete) neutrality at any point after so blatantly (though secretively)...
