    Unbuilt Canada

True, but keep in mind some believe the American delegates were pushing harder than what they actually wanted. There was likely some leeway. See Dr Alexander Clarke's video on an Equitable Washington Naval Treaty and similar videos.

    Unbuilt Canada

I know there was supposed British fears of the opposition to the family compact and the clique being too American. I wonder if instead, those advocating for responsible government point out the parallels between the Family Compact and the political families and the Southern slavers in the...

    Unbuilt Canada

Assuming a more expansive Canada, and improved focus on the West, I wonder if a bigger economy, and other factors would lead to an earlier larger Navy. Certainly the infrastructure was around or could be built. Maybe with a bigger population, industry, and earlier development of national...

    Alternate warships of nations

I presume that is why the Sea Sparrow is going strong and turned into the ESSM, as the main disadvantages of SARH (you must keep the target illuminated) doesn't matter as much for warships.

I was thinking Seattle. I know it might be complicated for Downtown, but I feel like ICTS might have been a viable alternative instead of Link LRT. If Halifax had a larger population, maybe it might have worked, although considering it doesn't even have LRT right now is a problem. I know...

    Unbuilt Canada

For Lougheed, with development earlier than OTL, I'm guessing it's over where the old Sears Warehouse and that triangle south of Lougheed Mall is. So it may be slightly shifted east from the OTL Lougheed Town Centre or it is a much larger hub. Brentwood could go either way, though...

    Unbuilt Canada

@Bureaucromancer I've got alot of feedback, suggestions, and questions. Initial questions: How big is the Lougheed Station? Looks like 2-3 lines use it, assuming Millenium and the Lougheed/Evergreen Line share some tracks I think putting the gondola at Lougheed might be a tad overkill and...

    Unbuilt Canada

Imagine if Seattle's Central Link used RT/Skytrain system instead. Would probably complicate the downtown stations, but still...

    Unbuilt Canada

Hmmm....You know, imagine if a Hamilton RT got extended through St. Catherines all the way to Niagara Falls. Now before people say that it is way too long, it is roughly 50-60 km distance. The Kelena Jaya Line itself is 46.4 km, while Skytrain's Expo and Millenium lines combined are over 60...

Yamaguchi doesn't go down with Hiryū and survives

IMO, Hiryuu might at best delay the US advances or inflict more losses. It still will not prevent the inevitable swarm of Essex class carriers and other outputs of the US Naval war machine. Nor does Hiryuus survival solve the issue of ever deceasing experience base among IJN pilots.

The Death of Russia - TL

Maybe some attention is turned towards thermobaric weapons? Nowhere as powerful as nukes, but can still cause major devastation.

The Death of Russia - TL

Perhaps this can be the less grim story we can get behind. A plucky underdog taking on the Soviets. I recommend perhaps the writing version of decompression. Take a break from writing about depressing matters, and write something that is fun and nice. My other comment is that TDOR was a...

The Death of Russia - TL

I do know that. I just felt like explaining why despite the grimness of the TL, the horrors that occurred, that I dont mind some of the more optimistic takes. We can be realist, but still have some faith that good and hope can endure the worse that humanity can cause As Admiral Stockdale said,

The Death of Russia - TL

I think the abbreviation DoR or TDoR may be better, harder to confuse and still useful for shorthand. Regarding the story @Mitridates the Great it depends on whether one wants to continue the grimdark or feels that there needs to be at least some hope in the story. I don't need to hear of more...

The Death of Russia - TL

Plus it was likely that North Belarus and Ukraine launched most of their nuclear stockpile at Russia. They may just have had only a dozen or so left after 4/10, and the costs of replacement would be prohibitive, especially when they also have to rebuild several places destroyed by Russian Nukes.

The Death of Russia - TL

FWIW, it is possible some of the nuclear warheads that did hit underperformed due to poor maintenance or some other reasons (ie. Detonating with only 50% of design yield) which might have reduced the casualties a bit, though it may mean more fallout from unreacted fissile material.

For something different, I wonder if perhaps if an ATL version of Fringe is Produced, the parallel universe version of William Bell's office is in Moscow instead of the World Trade Center.
