    Planetocopia Map Thread

You guys are doing fantastic things here; can't praise it enough! I've fiddled with another map using what looks like basically the same ecoregion definitions to create an OTL equivalent with the same projection; should help people compare the two a bit easier.

Separated at Birth: America and Drakia

This is a real sweaty hands moment. Greatly looking forward to the outcome, EBR - you've crafted a fantastic story from top to bottom here and I'm both excited for & dreading what comes next.

Separated at Birth: America and Drakia

Those were well worth the wait EBR - really excellent work there in creating something that feels like a real strike into something new, but whose development still feels rooted in the history and world you've built up to this point. Situationism feels believable as a historical and political...

Very interesting both on its own merits & as a window into the world you've been constructing - I'm seriously looking forward to any more of these you might do, Daeres. Have you thought about what sources the local language derives from?

i have a whole long laundry list of grumbly grumbles against many of seans scenarios BUT? their work was some of the first i saw getting into this sort of stuff as a kid? it has a little warm spot in my heart, and the heart and style they put into their maps has always been something of an...

Some Russians, perhaps. And they have my sympathy for being hoodwinked by a way of thinking that - as other people here have noted - takes very little wrangling to match up with the other nationalist abominations of history.

Well, it's a very pretty map, but the premises of soft ethnic cleansing, forced assimilation and population movements are absolutely horrifying and make me sick to my stomach. I urge you to deeply reconsider the ethics behind what you're saying if you honestly look kindly upon those policies.

    Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg

The idea as explained ingame is that Totalism - whilst referring to a coherent ideology reminiscent of national syndicalist currents IOTL - is also used as an umbrella that includes much of those. This is hopefully something that the introduction of sub-ideologies will help out with, allowing...

As ever, a window into a richly envisioned & seriously cool world. It's been pretty fun watching you develop it all bit by bit! Do you reckon you'll be able to show us more of the demographics? No doubt you might well have a map in the wings for that eventually, but it would be interesting to...

naw, they're talking about the rivers stretch in new mexico. you see that used as a border quite a lot. it wouldn't be totally absurd as a division, especially considering the differing motives local govts might have had while drawing the border. probably makes less sense north of el paso though.

both are you are right. libertarianism as a term has been adopted by many different groups in past and in present. the core concept itself arguably is fundamentally irreconcilable with nationalism, borders, sovereignty, etc - but this hasn't prevented A: a wide degree of ersatz-libertarian...
