    IIRC the history in China was that the Song dynasty developed a fairly good system of paper money, but then after the Mongol conquest the new rulers over-printed while trying to keep the collapsing Yuan dynasty together, and this basically made the concept toxic in China for quite some time.

    Yeah, that's the impression I get too. 90+% of the time if nuclear war happens it has nothing to do with Burgundy. And if you play as them, the vast majority of focuses/effort goes to keeping the place from collapsing (through horrible atrocities) with a little Bond-villian plotting on the side.

    That plus hold off a long time with Nixon before passing or vetoing the Civil Rights Act. Passing it strengthens the NPP-FR while if he vetoes it the NPP-C gets stronger. But just ignoring the issue pisses off everybody think.

    Though it doesn't really have an analog to the Chinese intervention in Korea pushing the UN back before the eventual stalemate. That would be if Germany finished up its civil war and could send over divisions I guess.

    I've seen Goring win a couple times. Usually the AI falls apart either partway through War Plan 0 or early in War Plan A. One time Goring declared war on the US for some reason and I was sure it was The End. But then they white-peaced after a few months.
