    AHC/WI: Better-conducted First Chechen War

    What is "better" in war?

WI the Catholic Church officially adopts the Prosperity Gospel

Prosperity theology is actually pretty big in Africa. It's becoming increasingly hard to find Protestant churches in Kenya (from my experience) that don't exhibit shades of it.

    AHC: DLC Democrats, Populist GOP

I really don't think that is central to the organization's ethos, though. The DLC was a lot more than Bill Clinton so he shouldn't necessarily be the plumb line. There will be a moderate range of ideologies, just like in the OTL Democratic party. Anyway, Paul Tsongas also supported the death...

    AHC: DLC Democrats, Populist GOP

What issues are you talking about specifically? DLC was very economics-focused. Where would he disagree with this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Leadership_Council#Positions

    AHC: DLC Democrats, Populist GOP

Paul Tsongas would be a good candidate to make the Democratic party "pro-business" in the popular conception.

How many colonies could the USA nab during WWI?

Well, it was officially independent and the US dealt with it primarily through the Firestone Rubber Company.

WI Fate of George H W Bush

How likely is it that a President, who is always traveling in a heavily reinforced car in a large convoy, is actually killed in an accident? I see this type of POD frequently, but it doesn't strike me as very likely. Stairs would probably be more fatal.

Robert Gates becomes POTUS after 2009 Inauguration Day attack

Representative Scott Garrett (R-NJ) was also not at the inauguration. http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/jessica-coomes/index.ssf/2009/01/scott_garrett_plans_to_skip_in.html Governor Rod Blagojevich (D-IL) skipped too. http://prev.dailyherald.com/story/?id=264839&src=

Robert Gates becomes POTUS after 2009 Inauguration Day attack

Most Senate vacancies will be filled by Governors - some may appoint themselves, but it obviously won't be all of the seats. As I mentioned a couple posts ago, the most senior Democratic Senator could very well be Al Franken. But I can't find a list of which Senators or Representaatives did NOT...

Robert Gates becomes POTUS after 2009 Inauguration Day attack

One new member of Congress who wasn't at the inaugrtation was Al Franken. By this point he was certified the winner but tied up in appeals by the Coleman campaign (which in OTL didn't get wrapped up until late June 2009). In light of the national tragedy I have to beieve/hope Minnesota...

Muti-Party Parliamentary Elections in the USA using Presidential Primary Data

Yes, that was a surprise to me as well. I think there are some districts in 2008 where he got third behind Obama and Clinton.

Muti-Party Parliamentary Elections in the USA using Presidential Primary Data

There is probably enough out there. Honestly, I didn't know how to categorize the 2004 Democratic candidates and that's why I didn't start (also I think there are different districts for NC and GA and I didn't want to deal with that). Dean+Kuchinich+Sharpton still probably only gets 1...

Muti-Party Parliamentary Elections in the USA using Presidential Primary Data

That would be interesting to see, and has probably been made by someone on the Atlas Forums already. However, I think it would disrupt the trends through these maps even more. Take, for instance, ancestrally Democratic states like West Virginia and Kentucky. A majority of voters there still...

Muti-Party Parliamentary Elections in the USA using Presidential Primary Data

During the presidential primaries this year I started keeping track of the overall winner by Congressional district between the Republican and Democratic primaries. For many reasons this is not a good measure of the most popular candidate in the region, not least because the primary/caucus rules...

    Wank the Congo

As it is right now, there is no bridge between the cities because the Republic doesn't want any spillover coming in. So you need a stable and prosperous DRC as a precondition, and even then it's hard to see such a small country willingly be absorbed into one much larger.
