Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

That explains why the British will be rationing for so long that they have to keep rationing till the start of WWIII. Christ those terms are brutal. Well at least some of the French when to the new world. Why to I get the bad feeling given how this TL has gone that whatever happens at...

Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

Given we have another major war in the mid-60s I think its going to be better for the Germans and worse for the Soviets.

So the British backs are up against the wall and the Italians are punching above their weight. Malta falling could have some fairly big butterflies.

So fighting in the Caucasus is looking likely. Christ this is going to be a blood bath. The Balkans are always a bloodbath. Why do I think Suez will fall this go around?

Yeah this is going to be worse than OTL for the USSR.

From my reading Grand Central is an ITL operation of some kind. Till we learn this was a British op I was leaning to the scale of the cluster fuck hinted at this would be Mac's insane idea to take Rabual back from the Japanese instead of performing the invasion of Guadalcanal.

Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

MACs are the order of the day I see and earlier than OTL give the part of the war we are in. But then again a bi-plane fighter if fast enough should be enough to deal with a Fw-200

You know, with rationing lasting till 1980, and one of the big ration items being gas this makes me wonder if the British come up with some really fuel efficient designs. Something like 30 or so MPG designs when American cars are still getting low double digits of MPG.

Lack of Lend Lease and Churchill pissing off the Americans is my hunch.

I think the only way rationing last that long is if the British are so fucking in the debt hole and get hit with WWIII. IIRC rationing in OTL lasted till 1954. That said I don't think economically the British are going to be that hot going forward

Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

Holy-lee-shit rationing last till 1980? What the fuck happens to make it so the average people don't bloody riot?

Honestly I wondering how spent of a force the ITL British are going to be once this war is over.

Christ the British are really up the creek without a paddle.

Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

Italy is being intelligence. So they are going to be a mother fucker to deal with when up against OTL. Germany is stoned, but damn this is going to be a hell of a battle. The British are up the creek. Those extra bases in the ITL Destroyers for Bases deal is going to be something to watch going...
