    You know between the diamond, timber, people, weapons, artifacts smuggling and the poaching I wonder if the US would try to stop these as well. It would all be money for any drug runners too, and I doubt that the drugs would be ran with just drugs alone.

    exactly its the reason why both sides in the US civil war tried lances, its a long stick with a sharp metal point piece of death at the end. Who wouldn't want that compared to a gun?

    A modern crossbow I assume, because I hit a bull's eye on my first try with a modern compound bow. Also it was my one and only time I ever shot a bow and well you hit out of the park as the saying goes....

    I meant that anyone could have used it. I get that they were expensive and fragile so obviously not everyone could have one. But the training to do so took what two weeks? Bow and arrows years?

    We will never know how many people still died at those labor camps and would have survived if this uprising worked. There were still lots of people that died due to the labor conditions. Getting anyone out is nearly a miracle.

    Well during the war horses died at a rate of I think 3 to one soldier killed. The US civil war was such a haphazard affair that hell both sides had dozens of different calibers for rifles alone, never mind things like canons.

    Historically crossbows where the everyman's weapon, anyone could use them and kill a knight with them. I will always favor crossbows in fact over bows because to get real good with even modern bows takes far longer than one expects.

    Maybe This is more like it, I want to see this happening and add Chile and Mexico getting enclaves in China and India and colonies in Africa. That I would like to see, also Argentina and others getting in on the act.
