For the Republic: A History of the Second American Civil War

Point 3 is the major bugbear with this timeline. As i have said before it just does not make sense with how it is written.

Lovely though the constant back and forth over radar, swordfish, deck parks, range etc etc etc is please take it to a thread that is about that and not this one about tank development. Please, please, please. I could post multiple entries asking you to stop till you are fed up with it as much...

For the Republic: A History of the Second American Civil War

Been mentioned mate a few times and is my big gripe with an otherwise excellent and well thought out timeline. It looks like plot armour and handwaivium are at play to get the world to a fascist v anti fascist world war! But if you can get past it , its a good read overall.

What is the Czech reaction to all this...they are a confirmed democracy and i believe in the top 10 industrial countries in the 1930s ? They have an army perfectly capable of beating the small undertrained and underequipped German army of 1935 , especially the one you have stretched between...

For the Republic: A History of the Second American Civil War

When you say a couple of years earlier......when did Hitler come to power ? Because he has only been Chancellor and then President since 1933 ! If Germany went into crash rearmament from that day ..... what did they not do to send equipment and men to America ? Where are these troops...

Lets look at the situation over Austria and italy....none has been changed by the post on the French civil war so the following Italy has an agteement with Austria and honoured it by moving its army to the Austria border to help prevent anschluss. So if this is happening where is the Italian...

For the Republic: A History of the Second American Civil War

I totally agree with the above.....so much blood spilt, giving away Alsace-Lorraine ....... i doubt Weygand would get away with his life. The whole French civil war post just doesn't work for me, just seems contrived . Frech troops accepting German annexation and invasion !! Getting British...

For the Republic: A History of the Second American Civil War

We talking about aid from Germany and Italy for the Natcorps, but is this extra to what Spain got/is getting ? Which one is priority ? With less aid to Spain will the nationalists fail and the republic survive? Will perhaps the spectra of successful Soviet aid to Spain pull back the German...

Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

Is it the Nottinghamshire Yeomanry...the Sherwood Rangers. Or The Nottinghamshire Yeomanry..the South Notts Hussars ? Im guessing its the former as the SNH converted to artillery in the early 1920s, however they could have converted back in the armoured expansion.

I think we actually need to think of what the axis losses are in this timeline....has improved British tanks hurt the Germans more when in Soviet hands ? Have the Germans drip fed these extra tanks into other panzer divisions so its just a few extra here and there ? If its extra whole divisions...

What if China invaded and reclaimed Hong Kong by force in the early 1980s?

Why is China doing this ? What is the build up? Why is China wasting a single life on something its going to get back anyway ? What is the UK response to this action before the " invasion" ? All relevant and all need more explanation by the OP .

Of course sending RN subs to help supply the besieged Us forces takes them away from war patrols so they will not be filing those reports of British torpedo success which seems such a favourite on here to help USN get its problems sorted. Li.ited resources cannot do everything....no matter the...

I don't know enough about ww2 in the far East but the things to me that seem relevant are ...... How does the Japanese advance compare to otl ? What are the forces available here compared to otl ? What if anything has changed in the Japanese plans to take account for these losses and delays ...

WI: Kido Butai Spotted En Route to Pearl

I think an unsubstantiated, posdibly garbled call from a merchant ship is going to go up the chain of command of the US forces ....be investigated. How accurate is the report ? All you really have is a location in international waters? The merchant ships radio officer cannot comment much...
