I'm assuming this is either governor parties, or the first round in a runoff election.

    Alternate Electoral Maps III

Here is an (admittedly WIP) election map for a fantasy world I'm working on. The setting is roughly the 80's in terms of technology and population. This map focuses on the Midwest, where the Moderate party enjoys Solid South like dominance (although things are beginning to fall apart). This is...

Alternate Wikipedia Infoboxes VI (Do Not Post Current Politics or Political Figures Here)

Please have this run on PBS (NET before 1970), it would just make too much sense

Surprised Kansas isn't more populated. It still has Kansas city, and I'm sure the coast will have a large new population. Kansas should at least have 4 EVs, maybe even 5.

An Equal and Thriving Enlightenment: An Alternate Latin America

"Para que Libertad y Honor" is not gramatically correct in Spanish. Also "libertád" is missing its accent. A lot of the names here are bulky and would be difficult to pronounce in spanish. The Partido de La U is good though.

Just because it's destructive doesn't mean it wouldn't be done. Never underestimate humanity's ability to unify in the face of a crisis. I can image the Americans, the Chinese and most world powers getting together and establishing a "Global Digital Reset Treaty", especially since they are a...

There was a map somewhere that someone made of Chicago as the twin cities. Does anyone know the map?

What if Marx had never been born?

For the record, the thing that most influence communism was the Russian revolution, and the concurrent adoption of the principle of democratic centralism by the largest and most influential communist nation. If, say, communism had cropped in a different place or if things had gone differently...

I've been making fantasy redistricting maps for a while. This is one of them. I was wondering what people think of the city inset idea.

This is somewhat true although by 1874 I'm sure people would have started complaining. The thing that deosn't make sense is why there aren't more counties (there are less than OTL even) and NYC being one county. It seems like the opposite would be true, everyone would want a county.

Like, way more. Population of NYC: 8.4 Million Population of Essex County VT: .005 million (5k), Ratio: 1,639:1 Not to mention the "every state gets one vote" bit, that makes things worse, plus the egregious vote splitting. For the record, the most disproportionate system OTL is the Senate...

Guys, I didn't think it could be done, but someone has come up with worse system than the county unit system (assuming I understand what this system is). Unfortunately, this system is so wildly unfair and disproportional that it strains credulity :(. It's almost comically unfair. Also, honestly...

From what I remember, the Americans were let in by the Mexicans (at least at the beginning). Hardly anyone lived there at the time, so losing that territory didn't really impact Mexico at all (beside making a bunch of nationalists very bitter). Heck, one could even argue that annexing all of...

    AHC/WI: Bavarian Separatist Terrorism

Having been in Venice, I can tell you, there is a distinct regional identity. It would only take a little repression and an brutal central government for things to change. As for Alberta, have you heard of "Wexit"? An ultra-centralist regime that wanted to aggressively homogenize Germany in the...
