I might be able to help, but work's incredibly busy at the moment, so it'd be next week at the earliest, sorry. K.Rex will probably get something done before me.

I think so, yes. It's very similar to 'People's Navy/Army' as seen OTL.

I don't remember seeing any previous discussion about this. Here's some thoughts from me: with 12d in 1s, by now 1d would be virtually worthless, so the lowest denomination coin might now be the thrupenny bit (¼ of a shilling, so 1¼ of a modern decimal penny); so there'd be no more pennies or...

Threads from "An Old English Tapestry"

Some of the best published fiction series took decades to finish; waiting a few months between updates just builds the anticipation... I had to look up Wyrd bið ful aræd, but I think the appropriate response (albeit in another language) is que será será :)

You could crop it out from here or here (just remember to give credit to the creator if you use it elsewhere).

From the first post of the Illustration Tutorials and Advice Superthread, here's a link to 'Wiki 101: How to make an Alternate History wikibox' by machinekng. I haven't used it, but it looks comprehensive!

I did a couple of flags based on Marshal Petain's arms in posts 2476 and 2467 - they could be viewed as fascist and monarchist, perhaps.

I wasn't sure if you wanted the flag with a larger emblem on it or just the emblem and, if the latter, the paw print with the star or just the paw print on its own, so I've done all three...:) (click the thumbnails for the full-size versions - the emblem is twice the size of your original)

Surely King Pyrrhus of Epirus is a prime candidate - the term Pyrrhic Victory was even coined from the battles he won against Rome in which he lost many of his forces.

    A Blank Map Thread

You could try cropping it out of the MBAM maybe. Have a look at post 5166 on page 259 of the MBAM thread for links to versions with various levels of borders.

Well, if we're going ASB: 'If the British Isles were populated entirely by Neanderthals, would Sealion have a better chance?' :p :confounded:🤣

I found another version of glyph (here) which could be reduced to 495px instead of increased, so here's both of them - pick whichever you prefer: (as always, click the thumbnails for the full-size images)

How about something like this? The Holy Roman Emperor, with his seat at Aachen (Aix) recently died without a son. His wife was pregnant but while waiting to hear if the baby would be born (and would be a son, given the Salic law requirements), other nobles start building up their armies near...
