Japan surrenders after Battle of the Philippine Sea

Pretty much this. The scenario as currently outlined isn't plausible - especially with Japan more intact than it was when the actual coup happened.
  2. What if Henry VII and others died Richmond Palace fire of 1497?

Also, Arthur dying 2 years younger (1549) isn't a stretch but 1551 is? You might as well make him live to 65 as Elizabeth 1st in OTL died at 70, Henry 8th died at 55 (despite all his health problems), and Margaret Beaufort died aged 66.

What if Henry VII and others died Richmond Palace fire of 1497?

Yes but then again seeing how this affects Mary and Arthur’s relationship would be fun!
  4. Japan surrenders after Battle of the Philippine Sea

Ha, ha. The emperor disappears, and the next day a broadcast announcement goes out that either 1) an imposter who sounds just like the Emperor, in the pay of the Americans, was given access to the radio by a cabal of defeatist officers. Or 2) the Emperor had gone insane, so sorry, he's being...
  5. AHC/WI: Stronger IJN light cruiser line

They would fill both features. An advantage of the larger ship is that it can carry a Royal Marine detachment (usually assigned as a gun crew during actual combat) to give that sort of flexibility when/if needed There was actually a specific "loophole class" written into LNT 2 that provided for...
  6. What if Henry VII and others died Richmond Palace fire of 1497?

I would also like to mention that Margaret, not Mary is the most likely to live as she was the eldest of Henry's children at the palace (aged 8 while Mary wasn't even 2 yet). Margaret Beaufort also lives for the sake of this thread.

The New Order: Last Days of Europe - An Axis Victory Cold War Mod for HoIIV

IIRC the German Civil War in-lore is less of an actual civil war and more a very messy coup

    The Plantagenet Succession

    Tudor becomes Duke of Richmond?
  9. Place In the Sun: What If Italy Joined the Central Powers?

At first, yes. But at first, the people who fled to Formosa saw themselves as Chinese. Given enough time, it's not at all impossible that at least one of the constituent pieces might develop a distinct identity. Yes, if Germany breaks France up and then moves out the next day, it doesn't last...
  10. Any good underrated timelines?

TastySpam's TLs (The North Star is Red and Dixieland: The Country of Tommorow, Everyday) are both excellent.
  11. The New Order: Last Days of Europe - An Axis Victory Cold War Mod for HoIIV

Honestly the German Civil War goes kinda fast. I get that they need to have Germany be able to actually impact world events before the Oil Crisis hits, but for a four sided civil war it’s kinda funny that it’s usually over within a year

    Any good underrated timelines?

I've been really looking for a good timeline to read. I've already read most of the major ones like Reds! and want to know if anybody had some good timelines to recommend.

What if Henry VII and others died Richmond Palace fire of 1497?

Arthur is definitely going to live here, him catching the sweat was mostly because of some bad luck. Catherine marrying Arthur is put in question. In otl Warbeck and Warwick were killed due to the threat they posed to Arthur and hence their daughter. Not sure if the Catholic Monarchs would...
  14. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

Does any body like the idea of Ted turner buying out DIC. He will need an animaiton studio for when he launch cartoon network. Does any body have any other suggestions for studios that Ted Turner could buy

    The Winkel-Tripel BAM project

Yes! I've always found this annoying, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I'll be watching this thread closely.
  16. Feeble Constitution - A Red-and-Green Russia 1917 Timeline

I most certainly did, but I can't find the error to retcon it - where did I write 2022?
  17. Place In the Sun: What If Italy Joined the Central Powers?

Without German involvement, France pieces itself back together in some form; with German involvement, they try anyway. This isn't Yugoslavia or the Partition of India - they all see themselves as French.
  18. Stupid Luck and Happenstance, Thread III

Parker needs a good NCO to help with his company, and there is just the right person retiring from the Heer that might fit the bill. Imagine having him run the part that teaches the actors what its like realistically.
