All the more reason for Henson!Disney to do more prehistoric shows. Nobody knows a friggin' thing about dinosaurs!
  4. A New Britain - A British Political TL (1995-)

Those aren't comparable to 1992-2012 though and we all know it. In the 1860-1880 period, Republicans were kept in power because of the civil war and reconstruction. In the New Deal period, Republicans were coming off of 12 consecutive years in power where they had overseen the largest economic...
  5. Hawker Hurricane even more prolific and versatile?

Probably not, even with full navalization they'd still be recognisably adaptations of famous land based aircraft.
  6. Japan surrenders after Battle of the Philippine Sea

Have Admiral Yamamoto not die in 1943, then he could lead the IJN in a coup and sue for peace.
  7. And All Nations Shall Gather To It - A Crusades TL

There were attempts at an alliance between the Crusaders and the Mongols against the Muslim foe. We know that if there's to be an actual alliance, it could only come from the Crusaders acknowledging the Great Khan as their suzerain, and Constantinople wouldn't like that.

Russian Victory in the Russo-Japanese War?

Russia would be in a very poor position should a general european war break out. Interesting, might maintaining the Obshchina system make Russia stabler in the short-medium term?

Hawker Hurricane even more prolific and versatile?

    Wouldn't these be ramp-head Merlins?
  10. Hawker Hurricane even more prolific and versatile?

One trivia question. I had the feeling (based on no real evidence;) ) the Sea Hurris & Seafires got those names because they were more/less structurally unchanged. If they were folding-wing, would they (wouldn't they?) get new names?
  11. A Thorn In The Rose: A War Of The Roses TL

Figures that it make sense with the story's you create and develop. A green and pleasant land demonstrates this perfectly.
  12. Place In the Sun: What If Italy Joined the Central Powers?

Except that to be sustained, France has to be turned against itself, and that's impossible. Worst-case outcome is a Confédération des États Français, not Balkanization.
  13. Mad Bad Rabbit

TV invented by the time World War 2 starts, impact on public perception?

In order to have widespread television by WW2, you need it on the market by WWI, so it can be adopted by mainstream urban consumers during the Roaring '20s, before the Depression kills spending -- maybe Tesla obsesses on cathode rays instead of death rays.

WI: Ford had built the Mustang as a wagon?

Hemming's had an article about one being restored, but that was a darker blue. I think his got wrecked after he traded it in :'(
  15. Hawker Hurricane even more prolific and versatile?

Probably it could. It was carrying 1000 lbs of bombs as a bomber; that weight of guns & ammo should've cater for 3-4 Hispanos with a lot of ammo, or perhaps 8-12 Brownings with a lot of ammo until the belt-fed Hispanos are available. At any rate, having Hurricane being produced in 3 factories...
  16. Stupid Luck and Happenstance, Thread III

It would be sensible for Kiki to explain that "Royal Assassin" is mostly a family joke. Have Kiki and sensible ever met?
  17. The alternate US of the Great Nebraska Sea.

Found old thread which includes some interesting ideas including some place names for some points along the GNS... https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/input-for-great-nebraska-sea-scenario.192233/
  18. A Thorn In The Rose: A War Of The Roses TL

    Rehabilitate? No. Explore? Yes.
  19. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

Oh. I forgot about that. Well, two out of three isn't bad. In that case, would Pink Panther and Sons be better suited as an Orion production, instead of a HB cartoon?

An 1-engine fast bomber for 1935-45?

That's probably accurate... I think the rather cramped nacelles of the He 177 made the DB 606 installation on it more problematic than it would've needed to be... Heh... would've been typical Luftwaffe standard-operating-procedure for an engine to be less troublesome on experimental...
