  1. WI: Edward V married to French princess

Because they had little to no proof of the alleged secret wedding between Edward IV and Eleanor Talbot (and Eleanor’s own family said nothing about it). Also the announce of the secret wedding of Edward and Elizabeth took everyone of surprise, so how they would have know/suspected who she was...

A South American World War 1 Craze

Note: The Netherlands allowed German troops through their country which led to the UK declaring war on them. Germany defeated Russia a decade earlier and only Italy and Sweden are their allies in Europe. Ottoman's are neutral because they are annexing Persia while the UK is busy. Venezuela is a...

Likely marriage candidates for a surviving William, Duke of Gloucester?

I seem to recall at least one person on here or elsewhere suggesting a match between william and louisa maria as a way of handling the jacobite issue...and i have to say, i see the wisdom of it.
  5. What if Russia invested more heavily into American colonization?

Unrealistic and can't be used as a serious premise. Taking into an account that this territory could not sustain itself without the state subsidies, this would be probably the most idiotic place for them to go. "Follow" how exactly? Waiting until the Bering Strait freezing and marching by ice...
  6. Is it possible to avoid the catastrophic economic and demographic fallout from the USSR collapse

  7. Likely marriage candidates for a surviving William, Duke of Gloucester?

Most likely Marie Luise of Hesse-Kassel or Elisabeth-Christine of Brunswick, but Caroline of Ansbach could also be an outlier, if they want him attempting to have children as quickly as possible (which could be possible due to his poor health). I'm not sure that a Swedish match is likely, as his...

WI: Edward V married to French princess

I suppose, but if Edward V was a bastard why was there the whole need to lock him up in the Tower and not just have people who knew Edward IV confess that they were the off product of bigamy?
  12. In the absence of Islam, which religion becomes the primary competitor to Christianity?

Sorry for the misunderstanding when I hear the Persian gulf I think of the United Arab emirates and the Saudi East cost.

WI: Edward V married to French princess

Oh don't get me wrong, I think he made a choice to claim the throne but I also think he saw it as the right choice at the time. Because in his mind, Edward V was a bastard and was he just supposed to sit there and let a bastard claim the throne of his ancestors? I think not.

German completely adopts the defensive September 1942

Well, if you are going to use TIK (Whose reliability is in question), he also notes that German reinforcements to Army Group B never were enough to make up for combat losses, despite the Ostheer's overall reinforcements surpassing losses from July to November 1942. By November, Stalingrad had...
