  1. Why are the western allies bombing civilians?

That happen as well, but only attacking key transport links does not stop the Germans, hitting factories as well to hamper the production of vital war material is also needed, and that could only be done in some cases with massive bombing raids.

The Pale Horse: The Northwest Montana Insurgency and its Aftermath (1987-2002)

The PSA has an advantage in dealing with the Sagebrush Rebellion in that the issues fuelling the (fairly low-level) insurgency can be conceded to the insurgents without the PSA facing a crisis of legitimacy - there's a world of difference between delaying a bureacratic reapportionment of land...

AHC: Make Morocco part of "Europe" to an extent, like Turkey or Russia, with a POD past 1500 AD

So instead of Paragua it is Bolivia who is deafeated and split up by it's neighbors unlike OTL in this TL, interesting even if I would love a TL were Bolivia keeps it's coastline ^^
  7. Can Persia Avoid Islam? If it Does, Can it Remain Zoroastrian?

First of all I'd like to say it's very hard to say how events would transpired in absence of war with rome I always wondered what the sassanids would do in absence of wars, internally they would concentrate on reducing powers of local elites in favour of the central government which would...

  10. The Plantagenet Succession

I quite enjoyed finding him for the role. And, by the end of the Series (1492), Thomas Grey is 37. At this current moment in time, Andrew Garfield is 37, though would have been 33, going on 34, when the "show" came out in 2018. So he's near enough the correct age for the role!
  11. Have the Short's Belfast be more successful

Could more being sold if it was a Commonwealth project with Canada, Australia and maybe India taking part.
  12. For All Mankind (AH Tv series at Apple TV)

Agreed. I was thinking the other day that ensemble shows are really hindered by the modern tendency to do <10 episode seasons. No time to develop characters to the extent they need. If the seasons were longer, characters could get shows more focused on them.

    Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

My opinion - I think you're spot on here. Without the desert campaign he'll be "That general who was good in France but..." He will be seen as a clean, if inexperienced, general who will be in a good position to lead, or help to lead the Bundeswehr after the war.
  14. Why are the western allies bombing civilians?

I take it these key transport links are in the middle of nowhere, with no civilian housing in the vicinity? Railway lines that bring food and water to domestic centres are avoided as well? The time-delay bombs (now an illegal weapon) are designed not to kill civilians who may be passing a month...
  15. Why are the western allies bombing civilians?

Not really - it is speaking of the guilt of the ordinary German at the time. You can take issue with his methodology for establishing this (and many have) but his central point was that the Germans of the time were predisposed towards anti-semitism. Interestingly similar generalisations...
  16. The Forge of Weyland

There will be wartime only additions, wire for sure mines depends on availability and they are a fairly new thing and ofc the troops occupying the position have had days to survey register and dig in phone lines and suchlike. But the big issue for the Germans is a massive thrust by powerful...

How would they be able to commit genocide if they lack any power projection capabilities? Shooting people is not collecting food so they couldn't even conquer the country
  18. Have the Short's Belfast be more successful

It's much bigger - the maximum payload of a Belfast was 78,000lb, that's theoretically enough to lift an empty C130H. The Herc's maximum capacity is about 42,000lb and the Belfast is 40ft longer, 10ft taller and has a 25ft wider wingspan. (Numbers from wiki).
  19. Khmer Rouge adopts Primitive communism

The Kalahari "Bushmen", North American indigenous peoples, and various Amazon tribespeople might be examples of groups with current or at least relatively recent(though no living memories in the case of North America) experience with hunter-gatherer societies. A somewhat plausible ATL might be...
