Thanks for that. I was always told that it was a name for mainland as they had only colonized the islands in front of it at the time.
  2. Why are the western allies bombing civilians?

Definitely not going to try and justify what happened to the various American Indian nations but the " Smallpox blankets" was literally a single incident committed during the 7 years war twenty years before the ARW. It was also committed by a British regular Army officer and not an American or...

The New Order: Last Days of Europe - An Axis Victory Cold War Mod for HoIIV

I feel like Democratic Italy would be uneasy supporting Japan against China, especially when this involves working with Nazi Russia. As well, the resulting war crimes that the Japanese will commit in China.

...but if we look at other cereal they tend to lie above 350+ kcal/100g, so if we go with a low estimate of 350kcal/100g and 2000 kg/ha yield which gives 7 million kcal/ha, that's around 10 people's annual calorie intake. Of course if we translarte that into square kilometer we just need to *100.

Thanks for that. It is an interesting read. It does contradict some things I have found from other sources, mostly relating to who sent who what orders in the British command chain, but that is beside the point for this discussion. In relation to the OP, there are a couple interesting points in...

You know if not for that note I would have probably complained about #2 but stranger than fiction. I will say whoever did that was not too concerned about taking La Quina alive, beyond armor effects can get nasty

Could have been a problem or could have been a World War I version of the Channel Dash.

    Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

With any luck all the changes that have already occurred should ensure that O'connor doesn't end up getting captured by the Germans. I've often wondered how far he would have gotten if he hadn't spent almost Two years in captivity. How successful would he have been in strictly military terms...
  11. AHC: The US with a high speed rail system as prolific as in East Asia or western Europe

Destroyed? I don't think so. Or at least that is highly exaggerated. Of course there was war damage and in some cases entire tracks dismantled as reparations in Germany. Also with new borders, rebuilding some lines was just not practical or got a real low priority.

I've also heard it's an alternate spelling of "main," short for "mainland" (a common usage of the word at the time the Province of Maine was named, viz. "Spanish Main")
  13. AHC: The US with a high speed rail system as prolific as in East Asia or western Europe

Yeah. The key difference the railroads were looked at with distrust with good reason. They also at least in many cases in the northeast in poor financial shape by the 50's due to the decline of the coal industry and the increasing use of cars, trucks, and planes for transport. To try to survive...

Al Grito de Guerra: the Second Mexican Revolution

Now that is some cartoon-villain levels of greed and sociopathy. Gee, I wonder why!? Great writing as usual, keep up the great work! :)
