Hess mission in May 1941 with America and Russia still neutral.
  2. The 30 mm HE shell. The ideal weapon for use by WW2 Allied fighter planes?

Short answer is using WW2 tech 30mm is no good for allied fighters. Unlike the Germans they just don't have any real numbers of 4 engined heavy bombers to engage. They for the most part are facing fighters/fighter bombers together with light and medium bombers. You can argue by mid war rifle...

Revival of Mongolia as a military power

Population too low, and most of it lives a nomadic lifestyle (so the infrastructure is not there). Everyone here seems to acknowledge that in some way, but they try to fix this by making Mongolia someone else's puppet and have it be made powerful that way. Personally, I think that's just a...

  7. AHC: The US with a high speed rail system as prolific as in East Asia or western Europe

They didn't come out of the factory looking like that. Similar trains in similar settings in other countries don't look like that. The **attitude** is why the maintenance started to go downhill, not vice versa. "Only suckers and poor folks use this, so we aren't going to put one goddamn penny...
  8. What if the U.S. outsourced manufacturing to post-Soviet Russia instead of China?

But, was all of this as bad when relations with the U.S. started to perk up. I mean, the Zetas went from Mexican elite special forces unit to cartel and basically escalated the drug wars in that country to the apocalyptic extent that we see now. And yet, that country isn’t a basket case and...

Q: What other areas could have been ''Re-Christianized''

North Africa and the balkans. You could also probably support the minority christian populations in the middle east better. This would make asia the only non christian area in the world (terms and conditions may apply)
  11. Revival of Mongolia as a military power

The source I had said four motorized divisions; most likely these are hollow units awaiting the 150,000 or so reservists they had.
  12. Revival of Mongolia as a military power

What numbers do you have for let’s say 83 or 84 I have like just 25k in army
  13. Q: What other areas could have been ''Re-Christianized''

Maybe the North Caucasus (Circassia, Nakh peoples, etc.) since they were Christian until the 15th century or so. Superficially, yes, but their rulers were Christian. As for the POD, maybe have a Georgian revival somehow in the 18th century or have the Russian conquest go differently.

  15. AHC: The US with a high speed rail system as prolific as in East Asia or western Europe

This attitude seems to be strong. I made a thread about Metro Transit that got little interest. People want to focus on the shiny new HSR and not talk about what you need for it to make any sense at all. For HSR to make any sense at all you have to have decent metro. If you have to rent a car...
