Discussion: What if Edmund, Earl of Rutland survives Wakefield?

No if Rutland is like Gloucester Is not changing much
  2. Ottoman Empire & Austria-Hungary collapse naturally?

less that and more that Russia strives to destabilise AH (and gobble Galizia). But as i said, I would see that more as the starting point for that WW1 as opposed to something internally significant. So it's not that the Ausgleich would have been important or significant, and more that it would...
  3. Fumbling through the Wilderness - a TL from 1918

Interesting. Will be watching. The ship may have sailed by this point but I do have some respect for McKenna. To my knowledge he was pretty competent wherever he was placed.

What if the U.S. outsourced manufacturing to post-Soviet Russia instead of China?

What he said. Another major problem was that after the 'Wild East' era no foreign business leader in their right mind would choose to set up in Russia if there was a vaguely comparable alternative. China had the advantage of opening up their markets whilst still being a functioning country, in...
  5. Alternate Vienna Congress: Independent Poznan and Prussian Saxony

Damn sorry guys, I messed up again. I gave the Saxon prince who would rule Saxony in 1848 Poznan when I was supposed to give Frederick Augustus I Poznan due to his rule in Saxony 1815

A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

To be fair it may be the Red Dwarf "model" thrown in as an Easter egg and not intended as being to scale to the Dreadnought. I think another ship to have an Easter egg appearance could be the Liberator from Blake's 7.

Discussion: What if Edmund, Earl of Rutland survives Wakefield?

It is since Bosworth would never happen if E4 lived plus it's not related to the current discussion, at all.
  8. Why are the western allies bombing civilians?

They did so a lot in the last days of the 3rd Reich so it didn't squick them out that much.
  9. Alternate Vienna Congress: Independent Poznan and Prussian Saxony

Prussia doesn’t have problems with poles in this timeline because Poznań is independent...
  10. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

Personally I would like to see this split up with Nickelodeon being independent Disney acquiring the Jim Henson Company, Ted Turner acquiring Hanna Barbera, and Touchstone merging with ABC.

Have Morris Motors continue to be a viable company up to the present day.

Alternately, one of them could be based on the N15 Pulsar instead, remaining as a subcompact, while the compact version could be based on the U13 Bluebird for a couple of years and then switched to the L30 Altima, with its own dedicated estate car and hatchback versions.

Why are the western allies bombing civilians?

Just seemed pedantic for the sake of pedantic, that's all. No worries.
  14. Why are the western allies bombing civilians?

I just made it clear what the Polish government says, not me, so please do not call me a ass.

    1. That's not what you said in the post I was replying to 2. Again this is derailing the thread
  16. More Helicopter/light carriers in post ww2 period

Phantoms are inadequate for intercepting Backfires, especially an entire regiment. You really, really need the AWG-9/Phoenix combo if you're going to try and intercept the Backfires before they launch their missiles. And way more loiter time than Phantoms operating from Turkey can manage. The...

WW2 Technology WI: Airborne Divisions Create "Drop Pods"?

Or why not just 'super size' the Waco WG or Horsa gliders? Eg.

    Goeben Atlantic breakout

I still think 3rd BCS would be sent up for gunnery training; they were in dire need of it, and Rosyth didn't have the facilities for large-calibre exercises. Besides, the British don't know until a couple of days before the event that the entire HSF is going to sortie into the Skagerrak. Up...
  19. Have Morris Motors continue to be a viable company up to the present day.

Definitely separate from MG. I wonder if MG could have gone upmarket too, in the direction of Alfa. Morris as a Ford equivalent of Vauxhall is interesting. Not sure Lincoln would work here but a bit of Ford money behind Morris’s own upmarket-ish Wolseley division would be welcome.
