  1. AHC get a Dixiecrat POTUS

With the exception of civil rights, Sparkman was pretty liberal. He was a major advocate for public housing (I would expect that to be his top legislative priority) and the Tennessee Valley Authority and was generally pro-union. (Organized labor supported his appointment to the Senate and...
  2. Earlier use of Tall Boys

Potentially - certainly stake out better claims on the 6th than OTL But I think its a big ask as it is the main hub for German reinforcements from Paris and elsewhere entering the AO at the Caen cross roads and railhead Also 21st Panzer Divisions 3 battlegroups are all operating in that area...
  3. More Helicopter/light carriers in post ww2 period

Turkey is doing a lot of rather... interesting, some might even say vanity, projects these days. The JMSDF has to be really careful threading the needle with their warships. Besides the utter freak-out that any sign of Japanese rearmament creates from Sakhalin to New Delhi, the Japanese...
  4. Jasper Tudor had children. The effects?

With more Tudors around, Henry VIII will not be as concerned about the Tudor name dying out
  5. RedKing

What if Henry VIII had been better prepared to be King?

True, but a lot of that was crammed and I think formal education ended at 16 in this era. So the what if is if Henry VIII was trained from birth.

Discussion: What if Edmund, Earl of Rutland survives Wakefield?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Scales,_8th_Baroness_Scales could also work nicely for George. Just need to hand wave her first marriage!
  7. Of lost monkeys and broken vehicles

You gotta wait awhile for it to finish loading it takes like 20 seconds for me. It works just fine for me not sure why its not working for ya. Here's a site with another link try this one. https://www.alternatehistory.com/wiki/doku.php?id=timelines:the_guns_of_lausanne
  8. WI: Spain turns the Philippines into a Settler Colony?

The conquistadors had numerous indigenous allies against the Aztecs. Human sacrifice was common throughout Mesoamerica, but people generally did not want to be the ones sacrificed, so they waged wars to kidnap people from neighboring tribes/kingdoms/etc, and the Aztecs were particularly...
  9. If You Can Keep It: A Revolutionary Timeline

... and on that cliffhanger, we’ll turn down south. We’ve caught up with the Colombian timeline by reaching the Election of 1828. Next chapter will deal with the Colombians - not everything is peachy in Santafé!
  10. WI: Spain turns the Philippines into a Settler Colony?

There are no Andes in Central America or southern Mexico. Or even Venezuela, Puerto Rico or Cuba.
  11. Why are the western allies bombing civilians?

Eh, Stalin's regime managed to get by with killing on an industrial scale that mostly involving assembly line style shootings and subsequent dumping of bodies into pits all over the USSR. They did use crematoriums, especially in Moscow, but mostly, just mass graves.
  12. More Helicopter/light carriers in post ww2 period

    Shhhh! That's classified!
  13. The Forge of Weyland

As long as there is a non-minimal chance of Italy joining the war, the escorts required within range of Italian forces will need to be enhanced. OTL Italian East Africa was not a naval threat fairly quickly so this wasn't an issue in the western Indian Ocean etc for long. ITTL avoiding a...

Discussion: What if Edmund, Earl of Rutland survives Wakefield?

The other thing is that if the Woodvilles aren't on the scene, then there are more heirs/heiresses to go around. I could see Isabel Neville becoming Duchess of Buckingham here.
  15. Fumbling through the Wilderness - a TL from 1918

I like this TL and I will be reading it. Did Asquith have a devastating stroke on Christmas Day 1918 in OTL?
  16. More Helicopter/light carriers in post ww2 period

The OP reads as if he's talking about the post war period up to the 1980's.
  17. emperor joe

Of lost monkeys and broken vehicles

Hey how can you open it? Because it only shows a blank page
  18. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

I love it. I think it's even better than the original American Magic timeline and that was an exceptional timeline in and of itself. I like changes like having the Star Trek and Star Wars movies be live action and that you started this timeline from the beginning of Walt Disney's career.
  19. Of lost monkeys and broken vehicles

Oh! I also just found this archived ATL here http://www.oocities.org/drammos/ww2.html it's a pity the author never continued it, it was a pretty interesting read.
