    A Blank Map Thread

    Now, I can't do the map myself, but, 1, 2, or 3?
  2. A Blank Map Thread

Could someone post a Europa Universalis base map by any chance?
  3. Eur. Universalis III or Civ. 4?

Europa Universalis III. Easier to role play, AH style. And the AARs at the Paradox forums are a home away from AHDB to an althist fan. :D
  4. Eur. Universalis III or Civ. 4?

I am saving up to buy a game-one game. I have heard alot about both of these games, especially from this site, and AoE II is starting to get abit bland... Which one should I get?
  5. Map Thread III

Nope, it`s EUIII. If you`re surprised by scale of 'aberration' (Irish and Norwegians started colonization), it`s continuation of my Crusader Kings game (started in 1066), so things went quite differently after 400 years of gameplay.:)
  6. Map Thread III

    Is that Europa Universalis?

    Paradox

Victoria+Revolutions appear to be, from the comments on the forum, far more stable then CK+DV. Other then that, I haven't actually played CK+DV, so...
  8. Paradox

...games - I've been a big fan of their products for a couple of years now. I already own Hearts of Iron II: DD + Armageddon, Europa Universalis III, and have just purchased the Napoleon's Ambition expansion pack today (Which is an incredible improvement, coupled with Magna Mundi Gold. :D)...
  9. Victoria: 1700 Mod

...are only a few nations that are non-continuous, so if the two colors are far apart, they're likely two different nations. Additionally, Europa Universalis III may have some errors, but these can be remedied later if that's what they are. If that's accurate though, at least we know they're...
  10. Victoria: 1700 Mod

I've found a bunch of stuff from Europa Universalis III, so I'll add that now. Please stand by... (note, this may take a while)
  11. Victoria: 1700 Mod

Additionally, I'll boot up Europa Universalis III at January 1st 1700 so I can check the map for missing nations/inaccuracies since that game is fairly accurate.

    Victoria: 1700 Mod

In Victoria and Europa Universalis, vassal/puppet status for the weaker state is commonly used. Like the UK and Hannover in the ordinary game. Of course, sometimes it can be hard to decide which state is dominant... Though, 1700 is a more absolutist period then 1836, even in Great Britain...
  13. Challenge: Minus Europe - The Evolution of the Americas

...to talk about is how European History would be changed by not exploring the New World. One of my favorite things to do in the Europa Universalis games is play a power known for exploring the New World (such as Spain, Portugal, or England) and focus primarily on Europe, to see the changes...
  14. Map Thread III

the culture names are coming from Europa Universalis III, and I think thrashing mad is using the in-game culture groups which is why there might be some inaccuracies... that is really awesome... when exactly did the Union form? how come it doesn't have Corsica? It would make a great timeline.
  15. If the Swedes could have

But with Kola, they controlled the entire trade route of western trade with Russia, far better then a city:p
  16. If the Swedes could have

Big it looks so cool and powerful being big and blue on the map!!11111 :p
  17. If the Swedes could have

I always do, when I play Europa Universalis...:D Seriously speaking, from what I gather, they were always more interested in the Russian trading cities close to Estonia (Pskov, Novgorod etc). Kola was basically a frozen wasteland of no value whatsoever, so it didn't hold quite the appeal it...
  18. Europa Universalis III is out for Macs

There goes whatever was left of my social life.
  19. The main AH online communities

Paradox will always have the legacy of Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron. And even now there are stories, mods, and discussion going on for EUII, even EUI. So the fanbase will last for quite a while.
  20. Always carry a gun....

That stuff about Venice is a little funny, because just the other day I was playing a game of Europa Universalis where pretty much the exact same thing happened, haha! Venice annexing Switzerland and dominating Norther Italy... I'm enjoying it! Keep it up.
