  1. Best Historical Computer Games?

...(*sigh* wikipedia): With this expansion, it is now possible to link Paradox's four principal strategic games (Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis II, Victoria and Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday (with Hearts of Iron II: Armageddon)) into one nine-century long scenario lasting from 1066 to 1964...
  2. Best Historical Computer Games?

    Europa Universalis series, HoI series.
  3. Isaac's Empire

    Many thanks!
  4. Isaac's Empire

...keep making them)..BUUUT I digress...as I said..I rarely post..But have to do so here...BG...the timeline is FANTASTIC....one of my favorites of all time....keep it up....Just like Europa Universalis has expansion packs..I may be forced to buy one that extends it beyond your proposed end date :D
  5. Hussite Moravia/Bohemia

Hunt down Europa Universalis II and download the AGCEEP mod. In that scenario, I managed to survive as the Hussites by steering a relatively moderate course down the middle, reconciling - to an extent - with the church, allying with the Venetians, and mounting a two-pronged attack on Hungary...
  6. Challenge: Ming Japan

Inheriting realms due to dynastic connections was a remnant of feudal Europe, and as far as I know it didn't happen outside Europe much. Certainly not between different cultures. It's called Europa Universalis, after all.
  7. Why In Nomine is awesome.

That's a screenshot from Europa Universalis III, it's realtime and you can pause/unpause at any time (you're very encouraged to) and adjust the speed the game plays at. It's a very fun game, I recommend you check it out. EDIT: It prides itself on being historically accurate, but I'm not so sure...
  8. europa universalis 2 problem

hey, no matter what in Europa Universalis 2 I can't seem to get a stable economy, I also was not able to simply do a military annexation of Korea despite having defeated both their cities in siege, destroying their navies an thus having a +100% on the war meter, all I could do as annex them. any...
  9. Earliest Possible United Italy?

...Italian Wars could possibly produce a united Italy in the late 15th or 16th century, right around the time the OP managed it in Europe Universalis III. Considering all the political maneuvering and backstabbing of the Italian Wars in OTL, I could certainly see the Milanese, Venetians...
  10. Paradox

...it for years. And the mods; VIP is great, and it´s the perfect game for a Draka mod. But in a couple of days Paradow will launch Europe Universalis Rome, what looks like a cross between CK and RTW; there is a 370 MB demo with the punic wars, but the full game comes with 53 factions playables...
  11. Brittany survives! POD 1066 and Victoria Modding

...The game started getting some fatal errors in the late 1200's, so i stopped playing that file, but i just bumped it up to Europa Universalis 3. In EU3, i kept playing an enlightened nation, but France kept attacking me after 1500, when Brittany should have been pretty much absorbed in all but...
  12. Paradox

Victoria is the best of all their games, plus I'm making a 1700 mod for it so you have to get it :P.
  13. AH Challenge: recreate my EUIII game

I recently acquired Europa Universalis III and realy enjoy it. My first 2 games I played with the Dutch (hardly surprising), trying to learn the game. My challenge is to recreate the game I played, or better the end result. The POD is 1579. In 1800 the Netherlands should control all of the...

  15. Europa Universalis III

http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=345263 Can't wait for it! I just hope a compatible version of Magna Mundi Gold (or Gold 2) is released quickly when it comes out.
  16. A Blank Map Thread

I might be able to make a map showing what the EUII territories really look like, but perhaps not one in which they have the same borders as in the game.
  17. Europa Universalis III

But I annexed both some Native American Nations and they were even bigger or roughly the same size.
  18. Europa Universalis III

not true. you can annex them if they are small. I think 4 provinces is the limit.
  19. Europa Universalis III

In all the games in the Europa Universalis series (not counting CK, etc.) you can't annex countries that own more than one province.
  20. Europa Universalis III

I got the game a couple months ago. I personally love it, though it takes a lot of patience and time. I haven't even completely finished a game yet. So what do the board's other EUIII owners think?
