  1. A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

It's wonderful that Thomas is doing so well under Disney. Wilbert always worried, IOTL, that American companies would ruin his vision if they ever got their hands on Thomas, but it seems his fears were unfounded, thanks to Jim. I'm sure they got along well, just like Wilbert did with Ringo.

    AHC: Native-Colonist Alliance In Americas?

My answers to each mechanism: 1) The key here is "what's the POD". If we're talking an earlier and/or less community-shipment model of settlement in English North America, this could work, as the initial settlers seemed to have taken less umbrage with intermarriage with Natives than post-1660...

A Queen Twice Over: Mary Tudor the Elder Marries Francis I of France

I'm not sure we'll manage to have any colonial ventures more than mentioned in the story. The Americas are not my forte. But I'm determined to have an Anglo-French-Portuguese coalition ITTL. Glad you're enjoying things. I'll put the next chapter out for my birthday on Wednesday. :)

Like Malaya. But recall, that ungainly beast owned the DAK Panzers Mk III and IV OTL ITTL the British tanks are more reliable, but still not up to US reliability, and the 75mm throws a good base fuzed HE shell It's a very useful tank thru 1942 and you can't beat the LL price

[Query] Successful Ottomanization or Turkification of Greece?

Abolishing it brings bigger problems. When you abolish it, it existed and you close it. It would make the existing Greek Christians pissed. When you don't reestablish it in 1453, you don't get the same issue.
  6. A more realistic (IMO) AHC: US Metro/Regional Transit as good as in Europe.

I'm not saying that they should leave their bodyguards behind.
  7. Could USSR attack Germany during Battle of France?

Red Army was huge, with tanks and aircraft counting beyond 10000 each in 1940 (yes, airforces sould not be counted under army assets, but still). What they lacked was actual combat performance, and that to improve is to receive a few b!tchslaps on someone's else territory, reather than on Soviet...

[Query] Successful Ottomanization or Turkification of Greece?

1453, Gennadius dies before Constantinople falls. The Ottomans lose a good Orthodox Ally who can control the Orthodox populace and find no one who can control the Church loyal enough (hard but let's go for it). He was also firmly against a union with Rome. This is important to speed up the...

  10. A Queen Twice Over: Mary Tudor the Elder Marries Francis I of France

So I'm finally caught up, and it's very fascinating to see how things are going.. Hopefully the French-Portugese match works out.. As for them (Henry and Francis) conquering the Inca, I'm not sure if it would work logistically speaking, and I doubt that the French and English would treat them...

Impact of an early unified Nepal in the 1400s

Jayasithi Malla of Nepa conquered around 1/3 of modern Nepal before dying of a disease as a middle aged man all things considered. Let's say he doesn't and by the time of his death, he has conquered enough territory that it vaguely resembles modern day Nepal. Now i am interested in the impacts...
  14. Independent Schleswig after WWI

Interesting premise. Originally, we came to the OTL plebiscite by way of this being a long term political item. The Schleswig rebels proposed it in 1848 as a concession to the Danish state. The Prussians promised to hold a plebiscite in Schleswig to the Austrians in the 1866 treaty of Prague...

  16. Ethiopia shall stretch forth her hands unto God: A History of the True Whigs

So hopefully I'll get the new update about the presidency of Edward Blyden up today but in the meantime just some historical background. Essentially most of the Roye presidency is otl. Early Liberian politics were dominated by the free born settlers who arrived there first, rather than the...

Assuming the 1960 season kicks off the expansion Dallas Texans and Houston Oilers, this averts a LOT. [Query] Successful Ottomanization or Turkification of Greece?

More like 10% when we take in account Greece had around 5 million people and there were 500,000 Muslims transferred in 1923. Western Thrace belonged to Bulgaria in 1914 so we don't count that. Muslim Population prior to the Balkan Wars was larger but many died or fled the advancing armies. To...
