  1. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.
Threadmarks: 28 February 1941. Benghazi, Libya.

...tanks were being carefully husbanded. They had a lot of miles on their clocks and it was a long way back to Bardia if they broke down. The Valiant I* cruiser tanks of 22nd Armoured Brigade were also being careful about their mileage. Getting enough tanks to have the men of the 9th Division to...
  2. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

Britain has Valiant so its likely they'll try to avoid buying those wretched things this time round.
  3. 1066: Year of the Conquest, and Beyond - Scandinavian England

And the plot thickens! Interesting chapter... Next one: "Road Trip: Irland Edition"? Eadwine: "Yeees, when Godwine comes back." *Remembering his hard-on while watching the boy-king dancing from the end of a rope.* "Good times, good times..."

Foreign policy changes after a Bush win in ‘92

Or Bush could argue that his promise was made to the USSR, which was no longer in existence, so adding new states to NATO didn't constitute breaking his word.

[Query] Successful Ottomanization or Turkification of Greece?

Have the Ottoman Empire abolish the Ecumenical Patriarchate and you would remove a lot of the institutions that maintained the stalwart devotion to Orthodoxy. The Greek populace overtime would convert to Islam. That doesn't necessarily mean that there would be no distinct Greek identity, only...

Wait a minute, you have the nuclear detonations happen over Algiers and Oran. For what reason would Paris obliterate the greatest concentrations of European settlement as well as Algeria's most important economic areas? I always interpreted that nuclear weapons were used inland.

  8. A Thorn In The Rose: A War Of The Roses TL

Anne is already long married to Exeter and Margaret is already 13. Charles is currently married to Isabella of Bourbon and will not widowed before another 5/6 years

Patton in Korea/MacArthur in the White House

Thought it fit more to have him fade away from the story, just like in the movie :) - BNC
  10. A Thorn In The Rose: A War Of The Roses TL

No, she's married to Exeter. Also I'm doubtful of Charles marrying an Englishwoman if Philip's still alive, IIRC Arras had Phil agree that his heir's marriage would be decided by the French.

A Thorn In The Rose: A War Of The Roses TL

If Anne goes to Burgundy, then either Alfonso V or John II of Portugal would do very nicely for Meg. The former is fourteen years her senior and was widowed in 1455, the other is nine years younger.

Her first husband if he lived, Baldwin of Ibelin (who she was allegedly likely to marry), but really you need only someone who will not made the monumental idiocy of fighting Saladin on open field believing who the Cross would guaranteed the victory to him

I know it's been about a week but I have to ask... ...is it even possible to abolish Salic Law at this point?
  15. A more realistic (IMO) AHC: US Metro/Regional Transit as good as in Europe.

Al Gore is a hypocrite and an asshole in many other ways, but I honestly don’t blame him for the private jet use. The simple truth is that he is not just like us, he’s the former Vice President of the United States and a national figure who has security threats the rest of us just don’t have to...

Is Anne of York available? I have just read that Charles wanted to marry her instead of Isabella of Bourbon. It's too late for that, but if Isabella dies early - or butterflies mean Charles hasn't married Isabella, perhaps they could marry now. Meg's still a bit too young.
  17. AHC: Texas splits into five different states

It would probably also require the admittance of four additional free states to balance it. Maybe Minnesota and Oregon get admitted a few years early, and California gets admitted as two (or three) states?

WI: Spain turns the Philippines into a Settler Colony?

The realities of fertility and vital statistics in regards to the richer vs poorer are just not the same in the 20th century relative to the 16th and 17th. If anything it might well as called night and day.

Any situation in which Richard isn't heir apparent would be reasonable, so yes.
