  1. Massively Multiplayer: Gaming In The New Millennium

I'm curious. What about Europa Universalis, and Paradox Entertainment/Interactive in general? Thibaut created the original boardgame a bit after the PoD, in 1993, but being French I suppose the butterflies wouldn't be quite so hard as to butterfly the game away (especially because I suppose he...

The Holy Roman Empire of the French Nation Timeline

There is only one more thing to add to this TL- maps! I will be making them in Europa Universalis IV, but I will not be home to do it for a few more days, so yeah. It's a miracle I even managed to get the final chapter out!

Cesare Borgia: A Restored Rome Timeline

I play that game... 1500 hours, but errm... Forgot that was a reference XD

Cesare Borgia: A Restored Rome Timeline

In the game Europa Universalis IV, you play a state, like Castile or Burgundy. When you take land that doesn't necessarily belong to you there's a mechanic called 'Overextension'. If you have lots of overextension you take corruptions penalties, unrest and so on. If you take a load of Russian...

The Silver Knight, a Lithuania Timeline

Not up to the Rhine, but they do have Wallonia and most of Lorraine. These are valid points. I understand that Lithuania has been going pretty lightly so far, yes. I'll try to answer some of the things: 1) Well, I don't know if it's a meaningless title change, considering that Lithuania has...

...Americas by the Europeans. What's holding them up? And what has the Tawantinsuyu been up to over the past century? I doubt they would sit and twiddle their thumbs for so long, even with no Europeans around. HANG ON. Did you make this map using the province map from an Europa Universalis...
  7. Hispania/Iberia united by Portugal

...state doesnt exist and what we have are territories that belong to a ruler. We can say we are in a Crusder Kings game, not in a Europa Universalis. But it your decision. Maybe the option of a war with Leon in which Portugal gets Galicia and after a period of time... lets say after a century...

EU2: For the Glory is where the action is at. What's not to love about a game that you can run on your toaster?

Europa Universalis 3, I prefer it to 4 honestly.
  10. Map Thread XIV

Very nice! I wouldn't really worry that much about some weird territorial acquisitions like Brazil taking La Plata; given that it's derived from Europa Universalis tropes, some strange territorial boundaries are to be expected. :)

Alternate Wikipedia Infoboxes IV (Do not post Current Politics Here)

Based off Europa Universalis IV. ...The chaos of the Second Courish Revolution, in which the native Latvians, led by their radical republican leaders, rose up against the German and Polish nobles and the Livonian order that ruled and divided them, horrified the European monarchs as yet...
  12. AHC - Dalmatia Wank

I made a mod for Europa Universalis 3 years ago when I had more time for gaming. If you like I can send you the files. Only problem is its for the Heir to the Thrones expansion v4.1b. Pretty old stuff. Yes prior Grgur/Gregorius/Gregory or what ever his real name was. Yes it was in the 11th...

Awesome! Those borders look great already! How could you tell? :) Truth be told, this isn't based on any specific game (I could never get to grips with the EU interface; just not my thing, I guess), but rather bits and pieces from various games across the interwebs I've taken a look at.

    Renovation: An Eastern Roman Timeline

Okay, to keep this thread alive, I have become addicted to Extended Timeline, a mod for Europa Universalis IV. Is there a strategy/method to emulate Renovation's achievements in that mod?

    Effects of a Byzantine Survival.

...Byzzies taking back there and there some part of Balkans or North-Western Anatolia is far-fetched, but all of it? It looks like a Europa Universalis AAR more than an history book. Furthermore, you missed something important that would be still pretty much consequential to new conquest : the...

It's an already integrated part of Romania (roughly a set of buffer zones) that, while being significantly poorer and underdevelloped, play a...

  20. Politeia tōn Rhōmaiōn: The Restored Roman Republic

An easier way if you're doing this route is to go into the actual map files of the game, copy the map and paste wherever, and paint in the provinces in Microsoft Paint or equivalent. Much less work in the long run, no reloading needed, etc.
