  1. Explain the AH Quote

The news coverage over how the 2016 election would become a large disruption and signaled the end of that era of modern politics. Ever since the Great Recession, there has been a growing tide in populism which led to the rise of growing "third" parties. The 2008 victory of John McCain was...
  2. WI: Woodrow Wilson has his stroke four years early?

For starters WW was engaged to but not married to Edith Galt so no 'Madam President' scenario. At this point of time everything is probably up to Col. House so does he act as shadow President or be honest about the President's condition. Tom Marshall is still looking for his 5 cent cigar so...

A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

I actually do remember it, both versions:
  4. President Stassen - in 1968?

Pat Paulson was a more credible candidate for the Republican nomination than Harold Stassen in 1968. That being said if he was able to make a political comeback in Minnesota and more importantly he didn't run every four years for President that made him in to a punchline he could conceivably...
  5. AHC: Save a notorious flop

The bit about screwing over the Qultists. That didn’t even exist in 2015 so there’s really no reason to say that except to assert one’s views on current politics.
  6. Crimson Banners Fly: The Rise of the American Left

What happens after the end of the age of roosevelt? Great update, eager as always to see more!
  7. A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

Supermarionation, Super Nintendo World. Just take your pick and go already.
  8. Andrew Boyd: Duke of Dank

    AHC: Save a notorious flop

The Super Mario Bros. 1993 film uses a slightly improved and tweaked version of the 1991 draft.
  9. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

I'd actually like Warner to do both in this case. For buying The Family Channel, we'd get a 24-hour Kids WB! channel in the United States. For teaming up with Saban, we might get a full show with the humor of that Power Rangers parody that Yakko, Wakko, and Dot did. Of course, Samurai Pizza Cats...

A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

He hasn't got the time to star in a remake. https://www.gerryanderson.co.uk/jim-henson-gerry-anderson-might/ Cool sidenote: https://www.gerryanderson.co.uk/star-fox-in-supermarionation/
  11. Separated at Birth: America and Drakia

I just realised that this video, as well as the music, fits in so much with the much more Americanized culture of Japan ITTL:

DBWI: James Cameron's Avatar doesn't flop?

As the title says. What if James Cameron's Avatar was actually successful at the box office? How would you have changed the movie's casting/scripts/pre-production/concept/etc to do it?
  13. Discussion: What if Edmund, Earl of Rutland survives Wakefield?
    Threadmarks: Family Tree 3

Here's my attempt at a family tree: The Plantagenets and the Many Mistresses. Let me know what you think :) Edward IV, King of England, b. 1442, d. 1495 married firstly a) Marie de Foix, b. 1443, d. 1466; married secondly Mary of Scotland, b. 1453; relations with Mabel Parr, b. 1450; relations...
  14. AHC: Save a notorious flop

Oh, sorry. Will stay away from plot in any subsequent postings. A bit long. Unless there were other problems?
  15. Photos from 1983: Doomsday

Not sure if this fits in this thread but here it is. Probably something that most families in the US were doing minutes before the exchange.
  16. For Want of a Word – Stolypin endures

Why do you think that pre-wwi Russia was noticeably more conservative than the rest of Europe? The “Decadents“ (Russian term for "L'art nouveau") were present in force and quite popular even among the middle class; period is called “Silver Age of the Russian literature”. There is no reason to...

  19. President Stassen - in 1968?

There'd be an enormous amount of voter fatigue against the GOP in an alt 1968 where Nixon serves two terms, and Oswald always killing the president who gets elected in 1960 is a cliche I'd rather avoid, but thanks for the suggestion and the POD.
  20. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

Does anybody like the idea of universal Parmount or wanrer buying out the family channel in place of fox in the late. Also how about who ever picks up the family channel teaming up with saban. speaking of saban I how samuira pizzia cats gets a second season
