  1. Map Thread XX

    Now do elevation relief map.
  2. Divided France after Hundred Years War?

I looked through the various threads regarding the Hundred Years War, in which England somehow wins the war and obtains all control of France. But many threaders also point out that it would be just too difficult for the Plantagenet rulers to assert control over all of France. From a military...
  3. Would Beria have been a good leader for the Soviet Union?

One thing does not remove the other, the fact that he was a rapist does not mean that he wanted at least to stop the Russian-centric policy of the Soviet Union.
  4. Map Thread XX

If you are doing a post ice caps melt scenario and want to know what's underwater and what's not in Britain, Jay Simons is your man. https://www.deviantart.com/jaysimons/art/Britannia-Under-the-Waves-839712138
  5. Who would win in a duel? The IJN Yamato or the USS Montana?

Would the Montana be outfitted with the same model circutbreakers as the South Dakota?

1901 and Going Up (A Collaborative TL)

I was actually planning to be mostly OTL with slight changes(Song peaks at 1 instead of 3) until the 70s with no Beatles breakup and better run Apple Records as the big POD. Good timing.
  7. Would Beria have been a good leader for the Soviet Union?

Beria was a psychopathic mass rapist, so no he wouldn't have been good in the long run.
  8. Napoleon invades Greece instead of Egypt?

This could go anywhere from an early Greek state being set up then torn down when Napoleon goes down, to sending the Greeks into Ottoman arms in the short-term depending on French behavior there.
  9. 1901 and Going Up (A Collaborative TL)

Okay @More Than A Feeling, You are starting the music section of this TL temporarily until we get there to the 50's or later however Rhythm Radio will sign-on when we get to 1976, so more on that as the MBL & the MFL (and perhaps the MHL and NASCAR) will hit to that year, so good luck!

    Ottomans in CP Victory?

Smart diplomaticking and actually I think some of the Russian diplomats forgot about the facts reading through the book. One of them cursed the loss of Igdir after the treaty was signed and Atatürk was 'nope you gave it to is now go away' and since the province wasn't exactly valuable anyway the...
  11. Napoleon invades Greece instead of Egypt?

I thought about that but I think to some extent it would be very risky. It makes me think what a French invasion of Greece would have as their goals? Attack Constantinople? Perhaps go as far as they could. Or maybe simply take much of what is modern day Greece and then sue for peace. Regardless...
  12. AH Title and Description Game

Because this game is slower and usually has more detail (seriously, read the previous posts- they're very entertaining), there are usually multiple suggested titles, not just one
  13. The Sudeten War: History of the World after an Alternate 1938

Map of Europe on August 1953, at the beggining of the Battle of Berlin.

The New Order: Last Days of Europe - An Axis Victory Cold War Mod for HoIIV

Now I hate double-posting, but I finally finished a little something I've been working on for a bit: The New Order: Last Days of Europe Version 1.1.1 - "After Midnight" (released 27 March 2021) Patchnotes - What do they all actually mean? I'll admit my biases showed here a little, and it's...

What if the Greek Revolution failed?

Small nitpick this was more of a conscription rebellion than an actual proto-nationalistic rebellion. Bulgarians, Turkish christians, Assyrians, Marionites, did this all the time whilst remaining loyal in overall terms.

A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

You know I expected a lot of stuff to go down from the I-Works thanks to an earlier Disney Renaissance, but to think that Totoromania had something to do with this surge of activity makes me chuckle a little bit. So far I'm fairly hopeful of Disneyland Valencia's success, especially with the PR...
  17. Bush Jr Daughters Join the Military

In other ages the sons of the powerful were more prone to seek the glory at the head of the charge. Even Harry Flashman seems to be rare these days. They might dodge down a middle path, crew on a ship in the Gulf or similar.
  18. Would Beria have been a good leader for the Soviet Union?

Reading a little about Beria on wikipedia, I realized that on record with his support for Stalin's insane terror, Beria nevertheless seemed to be a sane and good leader for the Soviet Union: In contrast to his opponents of the moment such as Molotov, Jruschov or Khrushchev himself, Beria sees...
  19. More Than A Feeling

1901 and Going Up (A Collaborative TL)

I am going to start the music part of this thread. However it begins in 1955 with the establishment of the Billboard Hot 100. These events take place 50 years after everything else. The first number 1 hit was Poor Little Fool by Ricky Nelson. It would stay for another week before being replaced...
  20. If World War 2 doesn't happen, how long would Japan have held onto Korea and Taiwan?

And these conditions were enormously popular with Koreans - I don't think. How do you suppose so much Korean farmland passed into Japanese ownership? Could it be that the legal and financial system was rigged to deprive Korean landowners of their property so it could be turned over to Japanese...
