  1. WI: Britain wins the war of 1812 and takes Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New Hampshire, and Maine

If the northern New York line is being pushed I would suggest the British push to include the land of the Iroquois nations (thier long standing native allies) and small stretches of land around them as a buffer. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iroquois In which case the greater Hudson Valley...
  2. AHC: Rename a country, that unified from a long-described region

Not really, Russia and Ruthenia have been separate things for a while. And while Ruthenia describes a vague region today, you would be better off calling it Lodomera. But during the height of the Polish-lithuanian Commonwealth, Ruthenian was name of the Language and identity of its south...
  3. AHC: Rename a country, that unified from a long-described region

Syria, including modern Kleinsyria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and Palestine. Edit: forgot the second part of my post. It could Asham or al-Sham.
  4. AHC/WI: WWII Axis Commando Raids in the Western Hemisphere?

Yeah as incompetent as many aspects of Italy’s war were, their navy actually did pretty well, Decima Mas was the best unit of its type in the war, and their fighter designs were excellent, although they didn’t produce nearly enough of them. Their Army also did ok when it was under German...
  5. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

But you don't have enough of them, the A15 isn't designed for them and anyway is looking to be mostly a second line reserve and training tank so why take the time and effort to rework it?
  6. A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

Cliche though it is in this timeline, a bit more Henson style humility probably would help. Generally getting angry and shouting is seen as a sign of weakness in construction, a demonstration that you have no actual arguments to make and that the contract probably isn't on your side. Maybe...

As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

It occurs to me that Walt Disney's Riverfront Square has butterflied away the St. Louis Arch.
  8. East first! Europe after a German / CP victory in 1916

Very well said - this was exactly the point I was making. You would have to have either a huge external threat or a very big carrot (like Northern Schleswig for Denmark) in order to get a neutral to join. In some ways, perhaps the development of the British or French colonial empire would be a...

And now they have an engine that is all-around better, in the Perkins diesel Lion.
  10. America Be Watching With The Popcorn: A Sino-Soviet War TL

I'm confused , this is the 70's , the Soviet Union was OTL under various sanctions ( basically anything you could remotely call tech ) and it made very little difference internally. The average Soviet citizen had zero contact with western goods.
  11. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

To be fair To the Liberty the only inherent issue was complicated construction. The operational issues were more installation faults. In later use in Cavaliers and Crusader gun tractors these were largely resolved. However it was outmoded and slow and expensive to make.
  12. A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

Walt himself had some plan or another... rumors of Disney buying land in Northern Virginia go back decades for a reason. Eisner was rumored to have revived the concept upon a visit to Colonial Williamsburg (and likely realizing how much money they make) and sprang it into overdrive... at least...

Je pense que tu ne comprends pas.
  14. The New Order: Last Days of Europe - An Axis Victory Cold War Mod for HoIIV

I know that this is an old post that I am digging up, but since you were on the development team, and was the writer for Tomsk, from my understanding, if Tomask's government post-regional unification was unable to keep the Cynicism Crisis in check, it was supposed to be a 'fail state' for the...

A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

Good point, although it's not completely unrealistic for someone in Disney to think of an edutainment theme park that focuses on American history.
  16. Photos from 1983: Doomsday

BVP-2 from the Military School of Nitra (Tank and truck driving school). Along Alpine teams, Nitra has been sending old tanks to the ruins of Bratislava and other cities

A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

Wasn't Disney's America originally one of Michael Eisner's ideas and as such wouldn't it be butterflied away with him at ABC/Hollywood Studios?
  18. Photos from 1983: Doomsday

Czechoslovak Vz. 59 Machine gun, used by Bohemia, Moravia, Znojmo and Nitra
  19. AHC: Longest possible airship age

If you want to learn more about Active Support structures, look up Isaac Arthur's Upward Bound series on youtube. Its all about using active pressure like steam power, water pressure, or particle accelerators to create the stabilizing force nessesary to build megastructures. The same concepts...
