  1. Could any of the communist goverments of Eastern Europe have survived the Soviet Collapse?

Re: Romania. I know this sounds tinfoil hattish, but during the revolution there was a leak of a meeting of the anti-Ceausescu camp where someone was filmed saying "comrades, the national salvation front has been functioning for six months". The implication being that the revolution in Romania...

Threadmarks: 4 March 1941. Wolverhampton, England.

4 March 1941. Wolverhampton, England. The failure to have a working Meadows built Peregrine-based engine for the Victor’s prototype had shone a light onto the company that felt a bit uncomfortable for the management and design team. Taking an engine designed by Rolls-Royce for aircraft and then...
  3. AHC: Resurrection of Pantheistic Stoicism in the Middle Ages

Ahh damnit- I'd say maybe somewhere with a decent sized latinate population but under Muslim rule might be a good candidate? Perhaps in an alt Al-Andalus, taking inspiration from Arabic Neoplatonism, a Mozarabic speaking sufi movement emerges that marries their latinate identity with an Islamic...

WI: Margaret Beaufort lived until the 1540s

Yes, but is an example of a potential? Centurion existing around Maggie's time.
  5. WI: Margaret Beaufort lived until the 1540s

Getting way off topic - but there is no way anyone ever lived to 152
  6. A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

Long Beach really came with the Wrather purchase. In addition to the Queen Mary it came with a bunch of land on the port at Long Beach, the Spruce Goose, and other stuff along that pier. In OTL the politics for getting Long Beach built proved insurmountable so they sold off those assets and...
  7. AHC: Resurrection of Pantheistic Stoicism in the Middle Ages

I like it but it's not in the Middle Ages :)
  8. Alternate Hundred Years War with England-Scotland Personal Union

For me with an Edward II/Margaret of Norway’s wedding is pretty unlikely who either Isabella or Joan would end in England.
  9. What if the Greek Revolution failed?

admittedly it's a lot, but is it a noteable increase from Byzantine times? it's not as if regional rebellions were overly rare then either.
  10. Separated at Birth: America and Drakia

Ouch, that's a long delay. Anyways, I've been working on the narrative prelude to my TL. Mind if I post it here?

WI: Margaret Beaufort lived until the 1540s

I agree that is a massive stretch, but then again Old Tom Parr (who was born in the 1480s) may have been 152 when he died (it is disputed of course), so perhaps it's not too much of a stretch to say Meg makes it this far.

    Pop-culture of the Kaiserreich

Okay, continuing on the "Kaiserreich Red Alert" idea: Iron Empire (Reichspakt, aka: Imperial Gemany and Subject States) The Iron Empire is the "Elite" faction. Most, if not all of their units are more expensive than their Syndicalist or Entente Counterparts, but in exchange much, much more...
  13. WI: Margaret Beaufort lived until the 1540s

Pretty unlikely to happen. Also Henry VIII was not so inclined to listen to his grandmother (unlike his father)
  14. Ottomans in CP Victory?

The ottomans actually still have troops in northern Iran in 1918. I assume in a CP victory situation the Turks would get Azerbaijan, and the Caspian coast.
  15. Ottomans in CP Victory?

My assumption would be that the Germans throw everything into the Kaiserschlacht (Russia and Italy are out, and no massive Brest-Litovsk territories to occupy) and succeed in taking Amiens. The BEF evacuates, the Channel ports are occupied, and Paris is left vulnerable to attack; the city is...
  16. Ottomans in CP Victory?

Even the inclusion of Azerbaijan (all of it) and Turkmenistan would make turkey a key world petro exporter.
  17. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

Oh absolutely, but assuming it's used to equip UK based units and gets phased out in favour of the Victor in the history books it will have a better reputation than OTL, as a useful stop gap and then as a training tool. Rather than it's OTL reputation as an unreliable piece of junk that got a...
  18. Ottomans in CP Victory?

Except if the British see German hegemony in Europe as inevitable at this point, they might return to splendid isolation and prioritize their empire over continental allies. Especially if France loses Briey-Longwy, which would cripple their iron industry. Iraq was originally intended to be...

    Ottomans in CP Victory?

the ottomans had trouble controlling their rural populations at times, so.....no. Also with what navy are they crossing the Caspian?
