  1. AHC: Wank the McDonnell F-4 Phantom II

Build in the M61 right from the start. Upgrade the engines to the smokeless version used in the F4N, then to a F414 when that engine become available (less for added speed than added combat load). Keep it in the ground attack/SEAD/CAS role more or less forever.

Have the DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) be successful

2nded . . . but i'll give him some slack as he single handily invented the 'muscle car'

Was the Arab Expansion Inevitable, and Can It Happen Without A United Faith?

Nature abhors a vacuum... so does geopolitics. For the Arabs to expand into the Levant, Egypt, North Africa, sans Islam, wouldn't be that surprising to me... would hardly be the 1st time a foreign power had muscled their way into those areas. (Longevity in maintaining control is another...
  4. WI: No Long Pause

What if the Long Pause - the almost 2,000 year long break in Polynesian expansion - hadn't happened?
  5. Plausibility Check: New Netherland Settler Colony?

Well, I can't have everything I want in a timeline. But New Netherland set specific work hours for slaves, and allowed slaves to work for wages outside those hours. And they had an interesting institution called half-freedom. After people were slaves for a while, they became half-free, where...

    Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

Might be Word of God in this TL, but no other Diesel Conversion did as well. The Postwar Continental AVDS-1790 lost 60HP from the gas version, but gained 2400 pounds in weight from the strengthening

The problem with the Balkans is logistics.
  8. Slave rebellion during the Mexican American war possible?

It probably was also helped by the fact that Haiti was something like 90% Enslaved or something along those lines which is drastically higher than the U.S. or even any of the states.
  9. The Forge of Weyland

There's a good chance that fixed artillery might not be able to react fast enough to a running battle - that's what the Birch Guns are for.
  10. Napoleon invades Greece instead of Egypt?

Because it is. The British will cut Napoleon off at sea no matter where he is. Also, attacking the Ottomans in their literal base of power with a small expedition is not a good plan.
  11. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

Yeah, but lest we forget that IOTL Fox had a soft opening in 1986 and didn't really have much of a season till Spring or Fall of 1987.
  12. WI: France gives all Algerians full citizenship during the Algerian War

I think you are being overly optimistic about this. Having such a big muslin population could end up pretty bad if your secularizing efforts backfire. And a militant minority who has 25% can punch much above its height. Algeria isn't worth the effort. Paris did the right choice OTL.

The Diesel Lion has hit 400 hp, so I don't think the Merlin would struggle much.
  14. Most likely winner in a no-watergate 1976 Presidential election?

Wouldn't it basically be easy for Gerald Ford to clutch the nominee? I mean he was VP.

Napoleon invades Greece instead of Egypt?

That bird looks like he means business... Haven't figured out yet though why he appears to be playing the accordion.... I suppose the pipes were maybe too British :p
  16. There and Back Again: The English Journeys of Catherine of Aragon.
    Threadmarks: Chapter 53, August 1512

Ribeira Palace, Kingdom of Portugal, August 1512 The drawing-room was thankfully cool, for the stone interior of the palace helped keep the brutal summer heat out. Catalina raised her brow slightly as set eyes upon her sister Maria, whose svelte waist was unusually thick,”I see that you are...

    Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

The Wright G-205 of 1820 cubic inches made 825HP in the M6, and as a Caterpillar diesel D-200, made 450HP The Soviet V-2 made 600HP, from near 2300 cubic inches The Diesel Meteor would be lucky to hit 400

Napoleon invades Greece instead of Egypt?

Problem I see with this is... what's the "exit plan"? At least in Egypt and the Levant, there are options (not necessarily good ones, but...) An invasion of Greece from the seaward side just seems like a giant bottleneck, easier to get into than to get out of. Sure, if things go south, fall back...

The Undying Empire: A Trebizond Timeline
Threadmarks: Part LIV: Opening Shots (1526)

I'll be honest, this is probably shit. I wrote it right after I had the accident so it's not that good, but I just have a shit ton of school stuff I have to do and a perpetual headache and I just can't bring myself to rewrite it, you know? Part LIV: Opening Shots (1526) The rivalry between...
