Yeah - the number quoted are for the whole Western Desert campaign. The wiki article on Tunisia says around 450 tanks were lost which sounds about right.
  2. AHQ: was Greece destined to be the cradle of European civilization?

In linguistic sense yes In terms of actual civilization just look at how many words come from Greek. Words like history, politics, mathematics, physics, biology, theatre, music, strategy, tactics and a ton of others all come from Greek. They dont come from Gaulish or Scythian
  3. Have Triumph Motors continue to be a viable company up to the present day.

Funnily enough, the V12 E-type is the version I liked the least. It cumbersome and the grill gave it a funny look. While I can happily admit that the 365 Daytona is a stunning machine too look at, both it and the 275s are much too overpriced for what they are.

Assuming that the Afrika Korps is still sent in the same strength as OTL the following number of Tanks should be sent: 5th Light Division/21st Panzerdivision Due to the sinking of the transport “Leverkusen”, 13 tanks were lost – the Division reached Afrika with 193 tanks: 50 Panzer I 45 Panzer...
  5. WIP Map Thread

Not sure about OTL eastern borders of Poland, (north)-west borders of Romania and north b. of Serbia... And about Manchuria/Manchukuo expansion - that Greater Manchuria/Korea posted few weeks back in Proposals thread could be inspiration? Whats going on in Central Africa and Abyssinia...
  6. There and Back Again: The English Journeys of Catherine of Aragon.

Haha yes that's definitely icky, but oh well, what can we do 😂.. Thank you very much!
  7. AHQ: was Greece destined to be the cradle of European civilization?

To be fair the pontic steppes of Russia is the actual cradle of European civilization given the fact the all European languages and culture has it's ultimate roots there and not Greece, whose influence is strong on other culture of Europe but not as much as the proto indo European people.

    Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg

Be careful about saying it's coming soon, one of the devs said it's gonna still be a while, the coding for the update is only about 40% complete
  9. Roger Taney Dies, 1855

Err.... The Dred Scott decision was 7-2. Making it 6-3 doesn't help...
  10. The Plantagenet Succession

I am aware of those discussions but I don't see how that has any relevance to the discussion at hand.
  11. There and Back Again: The English Journeys of Catherine of Aragon.

This is true, but Catalina does have more important things to do at the moment... You are certainly right... She won't be remarrying for quite a while, and it will be to a King who fits exactly those criteria... Thank you so much!
  12. The Plantagenet Succession

Whether he recognised Henry as royalty, I don’t know - I doubt that - but as for recognising him as Earl of Richmond and offering him safe conduct, Edward was in discussions from about 1480 to 1483, then he died and Richard fucked everything IOTL. So he certainly recognised Henry’s claim to the...

Keeping the British Liberal Party flag flying high

That peace has been maintained between all neighbours and with a relatively salient position of the Arab states around Israel seems nothing short of miraculous, given the unrest in the 30s, and is a testament to the hard work of peaceful transfer. Glad to hear that the OTL 1947 Jerusalem...

What happens if Rock Island chooses the Christie Route to American armor for WWII?
Threadmarks: Why I have to check three sources.

I read his LW articles. Four easy mistakes to start off with in his torpedo article. Example: the He 111 was not the torpedo bomber of choice. That was actually the He-115 and the torpedo carrying variants of the Ju 88 and Ju 188. The LW also preferred the Fiume torpedoes, not the Silurificio...
  15. There and Back Again: The English Journeys of Catherine of Aragon.

Thank you so very much.. In truth mostly disliked the fact that I broke my pattern of releasing a new chapter every weekend..Yes they certainly are getting along well and their namesake grandparents (ick but oh well) would be proud to see how things go for them. João and Catarina will get on...

WI: Founding Fathers amended the Articles of Confederation

Would that have been the case in a convention outside the normal parameters? I figured that the point of having a convention was to avoid having to deal with that sort of mess. If not, then perhaps the changes to the AoC would have to have been something along the lines of the New Jersey Plan in...

He was not the only one. Most of the RAF leaders were pro Bomber Command it was the only independent way for them to fight. Also politically for much of the war it was perceived to be the only way to take the fight to Germany. ITTL that politics might be even more important as if the Axis are...

    Vietnam, a unwinnable war?

Remember that Thiệu “land to the tiller” program merely legalized the violent land reform done by the Vietcong. So it is not as groundbreaking as some might believed.

    Just halve bomber command
