  1. The Professor

Request Maps/Flags/Coats of Arms/Heraldry here, II

In a circle I would guess.
  2. AHC: As big a Eurozone as possible

well that's not really true - Most of British (public) dislike for the Euro comes from black wednesday, and that was the Tories instrumentalising the pegged curency to discipline labour. well no, the most obvious candidate is sweden, as they held a referendum on it and it could certainly have...
  3. A Second Wife, A Second Husband: A Tudor Timeline

For those of you who never watched the Spanish Princess (or the other shows), there are episode images and promo pics etc on farfarawaysite.com

A Second Wife, A Second Husband: A Tudor Timeline

I mean, Henry VIII did marry his brother's widow, married his mistress's sister, slept with said mistress's sister's cousin, etc. Not exactly out of character for Henry/ Maybe she did it for the same reason in Juana la Loca?
  5. Question: Was Yugoslavia doomed from the start?

It has to remain a genuinely pan-South Slavic state, and not turn into a Greater Serbia-with-some-other-bits-tacked-on.
  6. CountofDooku

    Es Geloybte Aretz Continuation Thread

Kind of like Soviet ones in Cuba OTL then?
  7. Question: Was Yugoslavia doomed from the start?

Why not? Of course, the state was "artificial". States are always "artificial", you will not find a state in nature. Whether a state survives or not depends on whether it manages to satisfy its residents and to adequately (economically and / or politically) integrate them.
  8. A Second Wife, A Second Husband: A Tudor Timeline

Yes; it was probably a bi-polar girl in an abusive relationship.
  9. Robert Dudley proposes to Queen Elizabeth I

I was talking about any and all children they have.
  10. What are some cliches in a Central Powers victory TL?

Sure, but prewar Germany maintained about 100 divisions, with conscripts on 2 years service. If active divisions serve half or third of their time on occupation duty they will be fine. Think of it like the NATO (or WP depending on your viewpoint) armies in Germany during the Cold War, armies...
  11. A 1919 Kingdom of Syria, without a coastline.

AIUI the original plan (though like most things related to these negotiations, it was a bit hazy) was that "Mesopotamia" was to be ruled by the British outright. There was talk at some point of grand irrigation projects to make Iraq a bread bowl of the Empire and use it as overflow for the...
  12. The L84A1, A2 and A3 Assault rifle - "The Last Enfield"

Well it'd be better than the SA80, but then being worse would take a fair degree of effort and dedication.
  13. Robert Dudley proposes to Queen Elizabeth I

No - Catholics were only forbidden after all that bad stuff with James II of Scotland and England and the Glorious Revolution...
  14. A Second Wife, A Second Husband: A Tudor Timeline

Yes, this is true, but she also seemed to have genuinely loved him at first (even with how horrible he was, as shown by how she absolutely flipped out when he cheated on her as well as how she mourned him.
  15. Robert Dudley proposes to Queen Elizabeth I

I think it'd actually stay as Tudor - Elizabeth is the monarch, after all, not Henri, Duke of Anjou
  16. Robert Dudley proposes to Queen Elizabeth I

Could get interesting with one parent Protestant and one Catholic. If the grandchild somehow chooses Catholicism (though I suspect he'd be told not to do that) I wonder whether he'd relinquish control of the Church of England back to Rome. Was the restriction against Catholic rulers in place...
  17. A Second Wife, A Second Husband: A Tudor Timeline

True dat - Ruairi can also pull off a pot-belly on Henry quite well too. As for Joanna, well, she was in an abusive relationship she couldn't escape from.
  18. A Second Wife, A Second Husband: A Tudor Timeline

True 😳... Though it is incredibly out of character for her, she seemed to be very much in love with Phillip of Burgundy, even if he was a jerk.
