    Map Thread XX

So this is pretty much a Random Fantasy Map I made with no lore. I hope you enjoy it.
  2. A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

the result probably will also be a a lot closer scrutiny on blood transfusions, and a massive boost to Molly Ringwalds career
  3. What were the biggest tech and weapon mistakes and missed opportunities of Germany in ww2

Which would actually be worse for the Nazi's (all those trained men lost) and better for the Brits (successfully repel invasion == morale boost at home, might convince some in USA not to be so defeatest) ... As soon as 'window' is out, the British daylight bombers are back on the adjenda ...
  4. The Forge of Weyland

Indeed Leopold might well look enviously at Denmark which submitted to Germany and was seemingly peaceful with a high degree of self rule. And contrast this to the fate of Norway, the Netherlands and Belgium. Which are being fought over and in the last two cases having cities devastated by...
  5. A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

I had this idea in my head that John Lasseter would take over at least Scooter from Rich when the time is drawing near and it wouldn't stop bugging me unless I shared it with anyone. Mainly I saw in my head John L. Puppeteering Scooter at that ever-so-inevitable memorial service.

Yep - Brenem, Kiel etc. To threaten Atlantic trade convoys they would have to cross the North Sea. Somewhat hazerdous, I guess, after the start of hostilities, when the RN is trying to sink you. Although travelling on the surface at night and perhaps, when they hear a DD getting close, spending...

A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

"The Song of Susan, performed by Freddy Mercury, who wrote the rest of the beautiful and poignant sound track." I am sure it is a beautiful song written by a incredible writer, and sung by that incredible voice. Molly Ringwald seems perfectly cast here. Thank you for having Disney ITTL...
  8. When the Levee Broke: An Alternate Lincoln Assassination and Beyond

Btw, an orderly capture of DC would still be very different from looting and burning the White House.
  9. When the Levee Broke: An Alternate Lincoln Assassination and Beyond

Seward was not so radical, but he was definitely not a Conservative Republican.
  10. The Rainbow. A World War One on Canada's West Coast Timeline

Presumably, Nurnberg is about to be scuttled. She's of no further use. Preferably where her corpse is either a problem, or out of reach of recovery
  11. What were the biggest tech and weapon mistakes and missed opportunities of Germany in ww2

Ironically a better performance in the BoB doesn't really help the Germans. It won't make the British surrender, unless followed by a succesful Sealion. Which isn't going to happen. An unsuccesful Sealion might happen though.

WI: Heydrich Succeeds Hitler in a Nazi Victory Scenario?

Yeah, exactly. Never heard anything about Hitler fearing him. He feared the SS having too much power in general but that was because he wanted to keep everyone at each other's throats and not able to plot against him. The only negative I know of Hitler saying about Heydrich was basically saying...

    Vietnam, a unwinnable war?

Wilson. Woodraw Wilson. ...... "President Wilson Found Accidentally Drowned in Seine River ! The American president, after having engaged in multiple absurd acts such as rejecting the Italian claims out of hand, insulting the Japanese, proposing a partition of Alsace-Lorraine, and claiming to...
  15. What were the biggest tech and weapon mistakes and missed opportunities of Germany in ww2

They (the Nazis) also knew all about 'window' .... (which, if they had understood what Chain Home was all about, they could have deployed during the BoB, which would give the Brits less warning so might have made it an even more of a 'close run thing')
  16. WI: Heydrich Succeeds Hitler in a Nazi Victory Scenario?

I think it's just part of the Heydrich myth. There's no evidence of Hitler being scared of him. If he had been, Heydrich would've been killed. I agree with this. My point is that we 1. can't infer that Heydrich would've applied his ruling methods in Czechia everywhere (no evidence of him...

"Our Struggle": What If Hitler Had Been a Communist?

Is the promise a lie though. Countries who did make their own revolutions did get their own independence from imperialism. Vietnam is a good example.
  18. What were the biggest tech and weapon mistakes and missed opportunities of Germany in ww2

ASDIC was specifically developed to track submarines underwater and works by detecting the echo of sound waves bouncing off the submarine that stands out because it is 'surrounded by' nothing but water (so no good against one on the sea bed, or, by extension, one on the surface). So I'm not...

    Vietnam, a unwinnable war?

While the US could technically have invaded the Laotian panhandle directly, doing so would have been a violation of the "neutrality" agreement that had defined the major powers' relations towards the country since 1960. The international community would not be happy at such a violation of...
  20. What were the biggest tech and weapon mistakes and missed opportunities of Germany in ww2

For me, one huge mistake by the Nazi's was not understanding British Radar and the Dowding system, When Galland, one of your best fighter leaders, states that even in 1945 Germany still had not developed a fighter control system comparable to that operated by the RAF in 1940, you know there was...
