  1. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux
Threadmarks: Midseason TV Debuts (Spring 1987)

Mid-way through the 1986-87 TV season, three shows made their respective debuts. SBC had a sleeper hit with its in-house sitcom Small Wonder (originally produced by Metromedia Producers Corporation and later New Line Television). But now it the network needed an even bigger hit to maintain the...
  2. Wasteland Memories: Photos from the Fallout Universe

This feels more like Red Alert 3 then Fallout. I can buy Japan going hard on technology to save them but being able to challenge China and the USA to such an extent feels rather wank-y
  3. WIP Map Thread

Like that America and subsaharan Africa But these subdivisios on Sahara and Australia... they scares me... And that landlocked Kongo, what is it?
  4. WI: Richard II had a breakdown in 1392 instead of Charles VI?

They more or less tried this OTL, (Yorks ruined everything) so why not here?
  5. Crimson Banners Fly: The Rise of the American Left

Seems that the unions, despite very battered, managed to retain a good measure of institutional organization, with an angered and at least ideologically receptive population nationwide, instead of in certain pockets. The situation is excellent.
  6. The Sudeten War: History of the World after an Alternate 1938

OTL it took the Red Army 10 months to get from the old Polish border to Berlin. Here they manage in two months. 164552 you forget that in 39 it was Germany against Poland. Here we are talking USSR against Poland, Germany, France and the UK.
  7. WI Walther Model is given command before Bagration

A game buddy constructed a board game modeling the 1944 situation. He wanted to test this idea of the Germans racing forces to and fro across Europe. Unfortunately we never had the opportunity to actually play the concept out. Nice maps tho.
  8. Automotive AHC - Improve Studebaker's (and Packard's) prospects

...(A Packard-powered F-4, anyone? ) That could be. I could picture a GM-like merger with Nash, too, where Packard's big cars keep the *Cad V8 & the smaller cars get Stude or Nash engines. Absent that, & even in that event, you may risk a lawsuit over a Packard powered by Stude--even...

WI: Richard II had a breakdown in 1392 instead of Charles VI?

Wait, you mean that Charles VI get also deposed by his cousin John the fearless
  10. WI Walther Model is given command before Bagration

That might have imperilled German 10th Army as it retreated from Rome and the Senger line and makes the anzio force much more dangerous earlier In France the crunch comes sooner and the German army in the west collapses earlier - with a full on chase to the French boarder happening earlier...

An Alternate History of the Republic of Nauru

A great start indeed, and a lot of wise decisions being made already for the future of the island and it's people. Well done. 👍

WI: Richard II had a breakdown in 1392 instead of Charles VI?

So, the Hundred Years war will be known as the 50 years war and so there is no Armagnac-Burgundian civil war and also no Joan of Arc
  15. AshM vs Dual purpose weapons

I haven't heard of anything of the sort. IMO they would be inconvenient compromises because AShM require a larger warhead and because the electronics will have to differ in some ways. A larger warhead/fuel load would also reduce the performance against aircrafts due to extra weight. Allegedly...
