AHC: Make Charles VII Rescue Joan of Arc, Instead Of Letting Her Be Burned By The English.

It's been done before, with much more dangerous figures, though it would be difficult.
  2. The Forge of Weyland

If she has already sailed to the Med and arrived in May as OTL, it would be unrealistic to bring her back plus kick ABC off his flagship. There are plenty of RN BBs in and around the UK to give the twins a seriously bad day.
  3. AHQ: Royal Navy carrier strike on Wilhelmshaven, 1939

Actually four carriers wouldn't have been used. Pre-war exercises were with a maximum of three, and it was felt anything more was just too hard to co-ordinate. Also, keeping a carrier at Scapa in case of needing to intercept a heavy raider would be sensible.
  4. Have Space 1999 be more successful

That’s the one where he was the voice of the computer thingie? I thought that a good episode. When I first saw it. Many years ago and have not seen since. And probably ought not watch again and keep my rose tinted glasses on. Ayeyup. 😊
  5. AHC: Make Charles VII Rescue Joan of Arc, Instead Of Letting Her Be Burned By The English.

Red I’m sorry but how could she have escaped if she was a prisoner who was being guarded?

    Would 500lb HE work ?
  7. The Forge of Weyland

As the force in Norway contains both French and British units, the French have a squadron there (cruisers and destroyers). The Med is currently peaceful, and while they know the RN is the main force in the area, having a squadron there is good for morale and propaganda. The French BB will be in...

  9. AHTL: British Carrier Strike

dropping a bomb on it wont start Bunker C on fire. You would need to get a fire going from some other source that actually melts the Bunker C enough to make it burn. WP or other incendiery or even a flare without a parachute would get it started enough, hopefully. Ideally you get some...

'Short .30' cartridges became mainstream in 1930s?

Neck down a .351 Winchester rimless? Supposedly, some attempt was tried for the Thompson SMG.
  11. Explain the AH Quote

Quote from the opening narration of Back to Africa: A Retrospective, a 2031 Documentary involving a group of 105 Black separatists from the US who had travelled to Nigeria in 2013 to form a little commune for themselves, hoping to pave the way for more African Americans (and others) to return to...
  12. WI Jesus was Executed by Sawing

Did burning at the stake exist as a common form of execution back then? It'd be neat if fire went from a secondary symbol in christianity (like the dove) and became the main symbol.

    Dutch retain Taiwan

Doable, but difficult. I've long thought of a scenario I would have written into a TL after my Alyaska TL where this happens, and this begin by killing Koxinga off before he gets to invade Formosa (then the name of Taiwan). This would avoid his invasion and the Qings' thereafter, since they...

It is a bit hard to believe that Germany gets surprised by submarines. It was them who started the whole submarine warfare thing.

    The Forge of Weyland

...Home fleet have more flexibility too. (The French can cover the Bay of Biscay and mid-Atlantic without stretching their destroyers limited range) *edit* It wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit to see a German Atlantic breakout end with a Strasbourg vs Scharnhorst shootout, or an Algerie vs...
  19. WI Saddam Hussein uses chemical weapons against coalition forces during the Gulf War?

Israel doesn’t need to ruin its reputation when it can benefit greatly from self restraint and pushing to have Saddam and leadership hanged and tried as war criminals. Same for America. If nukes are used in a response for few thousand dead by chemical weapons why not use them for a few thousand...
