  1. AHTL: British Carrier Strike

The CL DD and fuel tank farms are suitable targets for planes not armed with torpedoes imo. The swordfish and skua probably don't carry heavy enough bombs to do significant damage on the battleships. Also there's an argument that light from the fuel farms blazing would improve visibility for...

  3. The Forge of Weyland

I mean, at this point in her career she'd already offered herself as a target for th High Sea Fleet and survived, so surely she was already a cool ship?
  4. A reborn Lotharingia

Edward IV got the best result with no expense in resolving the Tudor question: an Earldom totally at Margaret’s expense and a bride with some money and well-connected but born outside the peerage...
  5. Defeated Austria inside German Empire: Kingdom or Archduchy?

Yeah the idea of partitioning is interesting and has crossed my mind before. But it does not quite fit with how I envision this process going. While on the most basic level it is of course the annexation of Austria by Germany, they will attempt to make it as conciliatory as possible and try to...
  6. What are some cliches in a Central Powers victory TL?

Did anyone take and pass civics /government class? The US is NOT a democracy we are a republic formed of 50 independent states, thus we the people do not vote for the president. The States vote for the president. Each state getting the same number if votes as it has Represetatives/Senators...

    AHTL: British Carrier Strike

Why not hit the fuel farm? It would also cripple the Italians wouldn't it
  8. A reborn Lotharingia

It's nice to see the measures taken to keep George's children, as well as Henry Tudor in line. Great update!
  9. TL-191: After the End

As of 2021, what do the USA, UK, and France think of the other (and what do citizens of these nations think of eachother)? Is there still regret about siding with the CSA?
  10. 'Short .30' cartridges became mainstream in 1930s?

For the French: the shortened rim-less 8mm. The AP bullet from the Lebel round might be a good start, since it was a lot lighter than the "balle D" (9.6g vs. 12.8g). Instead of the 3.2g for the Lebel AP loading, perhaps use ~2g, that is still twice as much as in the .351 WSL. Make the MAC 24/29...

What if the Mark 71 8"/55 gun wasn't cancelled?

Even having a handful of these guns on select ships would give serious extra shore bombardment capabilities. A few Spruances, and they are oft attached to the amphibious assault ships, might be an option.
  12. 'Short .30' cartridges became mainstream in 1930s?

Burton Machine Rifle, Win MG 1918 30-06 cal, ca. 1919 This is a good starting point.

Hey. Do you still want to play Resilient Rooster ? Because I haven't seen anything from you, and right now there kinda is an important peace conference you're involved in.

Does modern Japan/South Korea count? Or are these non-modern examples?
  15. List of monarchs III

    I'll change it then.
  16. AHTL: British Carrier Strike

Edit - I meant to add ignore the CLs, DDs and fuel tank farm - the prize is and should remain the 2 Modern BBs and the Heavy Crusiers and the rebuilt BBs - focus on them And if any 'farming' can be done by the RAF outside the harbour then superb
  17. Have Space 1999 be more successful

That was the name of a roleplaying game that was on the internet about 20 years ago. It was set in the year 2099 and the Alphans were the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the original cast.
  18. What if the Mark 71 8"/55 gun wasn't cancelled?

Yes. The guns alone did not a littoral combatant make. And these ships were also Spruance replacements that were to enter service as the Spruances retired, which combined with the littoral focus made for a lot of brand-new features.
  19. List of monarchs III

Just a small correction I think I found on this, but the UK ITTL seems to be named the British Commonwealth (possibly a sing of it being a more federalized or decentralized entity with its internal parts or even its colonies)
