  1. AHQ: Royal Navy carrier strike on Wilhelmshaven, 1939

Try this: http://www.naval-history.net/xDKWW2-3909-05OtherNavies.htm If the link doesn't work, it is a page on the Naval-History.net website for the 'British and Other navies in World War 2 Day-by-Day', specifically the page for French, Polish, German, and US ships in Europe in Sep 1939.

For Want of a Word – Stolypin endures

Russian Armenians don't have the numbers to swamp those lands. And ethnic Slavs in the Russian empire didn't settle the southern Caucasus throughout their rule there in any noticeable numbers due to the inhospitability of the areas and the general economic backwardness. While an exodus may have...

    Hearts of Iron IV "Fictionalization."

France has a few but is missing "Fictionalized" leaders, though Louis Renault from Casablanca(here in a Charles De Gaulle style role), and Phillipe Gerbier from Army of Shadows is a General in the Free France mode. France is a bit tricky to find fictional leaders for so I'm open to ideas. I've...
  4. What If: Greenland Norse has survived the Little Ice Age

There were probably still some kind off folk memory of the pre-Christian beliefs. It took centuries for the entire Scandinavian population before christianisation was completed. Prior to this Scandinavia was nominally Christian, and individuals also identified as Christian but had pagan-ish...

AHQ: Royal Navy carrier strike on Wilhelmshaven, 1939

Surely that depends on when the raid is detected? Unlike the Italians, the Germans have radar, so they may do better than what happened at Taranto. On the other hand, they'd be struck by 2 or 3 carriers instead of just one.
  6. AHC: Make the Romansh Switzerland's dominant ethnic group

I am not sure ethnicity is the correct term here. I don't think there is really a "Romansh ethnic group". Romansh speakers are not taller or have different hair color from their neighbors. They are just Swiss who speak Romansh. They speak it because their isolated valleys avoided...
  7. These Fair Shores: The Commonwealth of New England

Wow. That is.... one heck of a provocation. I mean, I'm British and I winced at that. Very cool symbolism, but that would do it to endlessly poison relations. I'm guessing the equivalent of 1812 went very badly for America.

  9. For Want of a Word – Stolypin endures

Not necessarily because there would surely have been a large exodus of population from those areas when the Russian and especially Armenian armies took over the land. I'd say it wouldn't be far fetched for there to be at least a Christian majority in these areas after a decade, with Russian and...

Thanks! And I'll act on that suggestion too. I was a little unclear where my project should go on this forum since it's ASB and doesn't fit in the pre-1900 and post-1900 marks...

AHQ: Royal Navy carrier strike on Wilhelmshaven, 1939

I chose Wilhelmshaven since that seems the most accessible to RN carrier planes. To get to Kiel, they'd have to fly across land, which raises the chance of detection. The tidbit about Brunsbüttel is interesting. However, I still think Wilhelmshaven would take priority due to the larger number of...

  17. How long could Nazi Germany delay its defeat?

If Hitler thinks he's going to be able to peace out with the Soviets in '43, he's got another thing coming. At this point, Stalin is out for blood and he isn't going to stop until Berlin is a smoking ruin. The Nazis forfeited any chance they had at an accord with Stalin when they launched...

On the one hand, I was going by the standards of Beaker's role in the late-80's IOTL, meaning that he would still be Bunsen's guinea pig. On the other hand, I LOOOOOVVVEEEE this! These two additions are absolutely beautiful!
