  2. WI: Japan don't attack Philippines/Hawaii in 1941: how does US react

You may slam the British bi-planes, but the Swordfish were incredibly effective. Their first flight was actually in 1934, so they were not **that** old in 1939. They were designed to fill a niche role, and did excel in that role. Taranto Bismarck Pursuit Channel Dash (Ok, all were lost but...

  4. WI: Carthago non delenda est

No third war is leaving it to late isn't it? I may be misremembering but I was under the impression they were effectively vassalised from the end of the second war, and the 3rd war was mostly about the other Punic cities throwing them under the bus? Have you seen @RiseofBubblez timeline? A New...

  6. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

If you haven’t mentioned the war there then maybe say the French won at Puebla? Might get Max established sooner so the US is slightly more open to the idea of him ruling on top of the US being more concerned about Reconstruction. Just a thought

    Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg

Yeah, those are some wacky unhinged claims for even Savinkov. This isn't a new problem, most of the major KR powers (from Old DH and HoI2) lacked interesting late games, with some exceptions. Papal Italy had some interesting (if relatively buggy) events about a Risorgimento including...
  8. Could the USSR work well enought on its orthodox form to be a pleasant place in modern day?

That is true, but they were still grossly overestimating the actual economy at every point. IIRC, one of the big issues (though far from the only one) was that they were measuring the ruble value of a lot of salaries and products, but not what could actually be bought with it because of...
  9. WI: Japan don't attack Philippines/Hawaii in 1941: how does US react

Exactly how many ships did this "Ship-killer of unequaled potency" sink? I also think your idea of basing B-17/B-24 on Guam and Wake is way out there. Even assuming you can get the planes there you will be flying fuel and bombs in by transport plane. We know that B-29s based in China were...

A Hippie in the House of Mouse (Jim Henson at Disney, 1980)

That would be a great in-universe April Fools prank.
  11. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. As soon as Japan goes into southern Indochina then that puts Britain on notice, OTL nothing much could be done because there was nothing spare to do anything with TTL could and probably will be different. It also makes sense for Britain to do something once things...
  12. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

I kind of want to make Max win or do something to improve Mexico's situation, both out of a love for a fellow Latin American nation but also just because it'd be interesting. I haven't talked much about Mexico because I am not sure how realistic these aims are, or even what my exact aims are...
  13. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

Yeah, Metromedia doesn't have that much of a portfolio of in-house kids' properties. Marineland hasn't found any buyers yet.
  14. Vietnam, a unwinnable war?

I generally agree that it was at least worth trying. It would have several advantages. Most of the fighting US units would do would be in defense of the line and we would be fighting against regular NV units so it would be more understandable as an army versus army war as opposed to...
  15. Nothing to Lose but Your Chains! / a German Revolution TL

Glad to see this back! The specter of federal socialist Pannonia is really fascinating. Can only hope that Red Germany can help it out sooner rather than later.
  16. Rebirth of an Empire "O Renascimento de um Império" v2.0

As expected, mechanisation has brought major societal changes such as increased urbanisation and the birth of a proletariat. The final paragraph points to the birth of a doctrine concerned with the social question; might Portugal use colonialism to stave it, like the USA did OTL with the...
  17. Vietnam, a unwinnable war?

I think the crux of the issue is that, whatever the US and Saigon does they will have to win over a large number of at least vaguely anti-colonialist/pro-peasantry sorts OTL's policies drove into overt communist sympathies. Or am I totally off base.

What If...Scotland beat England in that Euro 2000 Play-Off?

Good call about Smith. IIRC with him at Everton at the time that he was close to leaving after several disagreements so its not hard to feel that if the Scotland job comes calling as soon as Brown leaves after Euro 2000 as you say if Scotland make it to the knockout stage with his reputation on...
