  3. Place In the Sun: What If Italy Joined the Central Powers?

Good Lord. I love that. If someone wants to write something in ASB about that and crosspost it here, I will absolutely give it a threadmark! :)

    Richard II dies in 1399

I could definitely see religion being among them (when the Reformation happens)
  5. Place In the Sun: What If Italy Joined the Central Powers?

Remember the ISOT conversation in the last page? Here's something to make us all LOL from the schadenfreude. OTL 1919, shortly after the Treaty of Versailles is signed, and the Allies are patting each other on the back... ...when suddenly TTL's Central Powers plus new satellites gets plopped...
  6. List of monarchs III

Monarchs in Prussia 1713-1740. Frederick William I (House of Hohenzollern) 1740-1740. Sophia Dorothea as Regent (House of Hannover) 1740-1746. Augustus William I (House of Hohenzollern) [1] Monarchs of Prussia 1746-1763. Augustus William I (House of Hohenzollern) [1] Monarchs of Prussia and of...
  7. AHC: early 1900s anarchists notice that American mobsters often seen as Robin Hood figures — and go this route?

...admire this stuff, as well as verbally condemn it, occasionally at pretty much the same time. Maybe somewhat similar to how people will admire a well-performed war action, and delay getting to the question of whether the war itself is a good idea. * look at popularity of mob movies and TV shows

    Alternate warships of nations

I remember them being designed to support amphibious landings in the Baltic.

    Richard II dies in 1399

Fair enough. Though i'll point out that an atl analogue of the wotr could happen here for any number of reasons. as long as the atl lancastrian kings are better than otl henry vi then i'm not complaining lol
  10. Patton in Korea/MacArthur in the White House

Quoting @BiteNibbleChomp in the "most uncomfortable candidate for POTUS" thread: "His policies wouldn't be anything too extreme either - in his memoirs he briefly describes some of his political views on things, and all in all they're not too far from a standard Republican candidate of the...
  11. WI/AHC: Viceroyalty of Rio Grande

IIRC correctly early on, Mexico demanded the Arkansas River as the northern limit of their border with the US. They only partially achieved this, and later on they lost anything close to that river. My guess is that TTL Texas Viceroyalty will extend north to the Arkansas and west until the...

I knew that someone would eventually pick up on that!

Could the USSR work well enought on its orthodox form to be a pleasant place in modern day?

Caveat: these videos were of older people who survived the USSR
  14. What if NAZI Germany didn’t build battleships?

...again 70% losses, which is 113 boats ... and so on.. During 41-42 they commission 250 new boats and they maintain this for the rest of the war (**OTL . production in 1942 was 238, and in 1943 production reached 286 U-boats, so, starting earlier and at a much more steady / sustained rate...
  15. Viability of a "Boghammar Swarm" in WWII?

rockets were carried on PTs to use against Japanese powered barges from what I remember. Targets with a draft too shallow for torpedos of the era to reliably work against. So you basically are talking a smaller, less well-armed PT and I don't really see a mission such a boat fills better than...

    Richard II dies in 1399

Agreed, since the marriages made could be very different, nearly every POD at this time would butterfly away OTL Henry VI Ideally, forever!

What-if SMG for late 1930s and on

Loaded, a Tommy gun was heavier than an M1 Rifle, and that was without the big drum

    Richard II dies in 1399

Well imho the war of the roses is butterflied as long as we don't have otl henry vi. now someone writing a tl with this pod could very well give us otl henry vi but i think it's highly unlikely. (which if you'll note means that the lancasters probably keep the throne for much longer!)
