WI: The Enterprise completes its five year mission (Star Trek survives for 5 seasons)

Of all the changes, it took some doing to move away basic blocks for everything, to going to theme sets with the new minfigure in 1979 or so, with the Lego Trains starting to look more realistic but still mostly standard bricks, with a few new specialty bits
  2. WI: decisive Spanish victory in the Dutch Revolt

Indonesia: Eastern Indonesia could go Catholic, as Islamic influence was weak or non-existent during the 17th century. and most of the states there are fairly weak. Western Indonesia on the other hand already has entrenched Muslim influence, and the organized sultanates there would be just as...
  3. Germany goes East in 1914 - French Munitions Production?

The French official history of WW1 is online and has a ton of great maps! See here! The Wikipedia article offers a weak summary and takes Zara Steiner in Britain and the Origins of the First World War out of context. While the invasion of Belgium proved key to providing the justification for...
  4. Viability of a "Boghammar Swarm" in WWII?

Germany had experience from WWI with the explosive FL-Boats https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FL-boat that were wire-guided, while they had a similar sized "Hydra" boat at the end of WWII, however it was, AFAIK manned? the advantage of an explosive boat over torpedoes would be the size of the...
  5. WI: The Enterprise completes its five year mission (Star Trek survives for 5 seasons)

Nice to see Lucas getting the rights to Flash Gordon, but will he be making a movie set in a galaxy far far away?

WI: The Enterprise completes its five year mission (Star Trek survives for 5 seasons)

Is Roddenberry allowed to licence Star Trek to Lego? Does Paramount own the IP and therefore make the marketing deals? Pretty sure Gene cannot get away with this one. Lucas getting Flash Gordon really changes the timeline for him and for that other sci-fi movie he made. If Close Encounters is...
  7. Dunkirk Disaster causes Spain and Soviet Union to join Axis.

Serious, apparently. Despite the 6 years of history showing tactical and strategic defeats.

Wi Geauga Lake lake and Darian Lake were owned by funtime parks otl. I like the idea of Funtime buying out the great adventure

Alternate Wikipedia Infoboxes VI (Do Not Post Current Politics or Political Figures Here)

I might make a timeline about Chris Farley not dying in the future. Any infobox I make regarding to him appearing in movies will only be canon with each other. Any other movie infobox I make will most likely not be canon with the Farley infoboxes.

  11. Dunkirk Disaster causes Spain and Soviet Union to join Axis.

I can’t tell if he’s OP is being sarcastic or serious when he keeps referring to the Wehrmacht as “invincible.”

The New Order: Last Days of Europe - An Axis Victory Cold War Mod for HoIIV

Officially Mountbatten just got assassinated shortly after the uprising, unofficially yes Halder had him popped for suspecting (wrongly) involvement in said uprising. Some conservative members of the police and army joined in but it was broadly a revolutionary one. Thatcher was just some...

Britt Allcroft and Lucasfilm Present: Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends (A BSiC supplement)

Alright Andrew, thanks for clearing the mistake up with me. Your plans for Thomas' sister show Tugs look interesting. I do have a question though. Although Tugs will be released onto VHS in the US (thank God Salty's Lighthouse won't exist in this timeline), will it ever air on normal TV like...
  14. at U.S. Constitutional Convention in 1787, northern states engage in brinksmanship and get deal on phase out of slavery by southern states

I don't want this to bog down into a slave trade debate. Initial thoughts: Deal on phasing out of slavery would probably prevent the American Civil War and the Lost Cause. There wouldn't be a Reconstruction, so there wouldn't be a "Redeemer" movement either.

    The Forge of Weyland

Yeah, my feelings too. With quicker development of the Griffon engine, the Firefly will do nicely by 1942.

Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

I'll say that I also hope for the Empire to survive (I also hope for Brazil's Empire to survive, but that's a bit off on the future). Although, Max did offer Juarez several times to become Prime Minister, he refused for obvious reasons.
  17. Dunkirk Disaster causes Spain and Soviet Union to join Axis.

But he failed so bad he blew his brains out as Soviet artillery shelled his bunker. Honest question, have you read any books, magazines, or Wikipedia articles about World War 2? Especially recent ones that have more accurate info? And he cant get that against Britain, they have an ocean to...

  19. Proposals and War Aims That Didn't Happen Map Thread

This gives me an idea for a setting. Wars where no one can decide the final owner of a parcel of territory always end in a shared agreement to give that territory to an uninvolved third party. The same party, every time, known for its neutrality and relative powerlessness, simply as a dumping...

    Photos from World War Z

Volunteer militia, equipped with low grade hazmat gear, arrest a women suspected of exposure in Bellwood Nebraska. As official law and order collapsed during the Great Panic many small towns took it upon themselves to keep the infection out. With millions of refugees fleeing across the nation...
