  1. Maximilian: The Rise and Fall of the Mexikan Empire

If you flatly make stuff up that would never happen, it doesn't matter if you posted it or not. There is absolutely NO CHANCE that any of the things you posted would happen. NONE whatsoever. Clearly you failed to read my post in any depth at all. That makes it pointless to even bother to try...
  2. Maximilian: The Rise and Fall of the Mexikan Empire

I really don't want to get into a major debate regarding the capactity of the RN vs. the USN in 1864-65 beyond this: the USN would not have needed to project force. It needs to blockade about three ports, all of which are close to the U.S., not blockade the Channel.
  3. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Oops, wrong thread. You are looking for Endless Summer in the Writer's Forum. :p:D:p
  4. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

The rump USSR, which really is only Russia, and mostly Asian Russia at that, continues to be a problem for the Reich, although it is via a low level, but quite nasty, partisan campaign. The USSR has to provide a huge amount of material and "labor" to the Reich as part of the peace treaty which...
  5. Maximilian: The Rise and Fall of the Mexikan Empire

The U.S. could cut Mexico off and cut its military to bits starting in, on, May of 1865, destroy any French relief effort and generally make the Western Hemisphere a massive pain in the ass to the French and anyone else who decided to play. IOTL the U.S. sent 50,000 men, under probably the best...
  6. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Nukes are absolutely not off table. As I have noted before, the post-war world is very much a mess.
  7. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Signed up just to post on this T/L? I am humbled (well, as humbled as a raving egotist can be :D). Stick around, there are lots of excellent posters here (check out some of the stuff in the Writer's Forum. Dr. What is an exceptional writer, as are several others (DO NOT miss Blackwave's The...
  8. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

The Korean Intervention will be explained in the afterword. To go into any sort of detail now would sort of spoil things.
  9. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Yes, I am famed for my socialist perspectives. :p:eek::p
  10. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Things are indeed ugly and will not improve as we progress. The Allies lost what amounts to a full CORPS of combat troops simply kicking in the door, most of those men cut down by the people they are supposed to be liberating. Ike called the 1944-45 campaign a "Crusade". That is where we are...
  11. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Maverick is the third operation in the main invasion cycle. It is mentioned a couple times. Yea, the hovercraft is exactly the sort of thing that the British will embrace ahead of anyone else. Their military was, and is, incredibly innovative and willing to take a chance on things just a bit...
  12. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Maybe in another T/L. We actually had a thread something like that in ASB. It started as a question that turned into sort of a Shared World for a bit.
  13. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

First, welcome to the Board as an active poster! Thanks for the kind words. 1. Reich SAM tech is suffering from lack of transistors and good millimeter radars. They have tried to make up for it with TV guidance but have only been partly successful. Right now the Reich is fairly close to OTL...
  14. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Thanks for the catch. Fixed it in the post.
  15. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

A special super duper Holiday weekend Bonus post!!!:D Comments always welcome! 17 The early moments off of Archer, Spear and Rail beaches differed only in minor detail from those off Red, Blue, and Green beaches to the north. There were more ships flying the White Ensign than the Blue...
  16. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Assume as you will. Remember, Hendrix was in the paratroopers.
  17. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

The Allies call themsevles the United Nations, but it is similar to how Ike used the term in 1944. No UN charter or organization has been signed or even seriously considered at this point. The idealism that created the UN is somewhat lacking ITTL. There is something similar to Bretton Woods...
  18. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Key West never happened The Air Force flies as its primary mission because, well, its the AIR FORCE. The Army is a ground force, but it has its own observation planes (Cubs and the like). The split from the Army was mainly because, as a practical matter, the organization was getting too...
  19. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

Absolutely correct. The Nazi's, in a very real way, WON what IOTL we call WW II, as least as far as their basic goals. They failed to knock the UK out or even convince the UK and U.S. to make nice, but they had about 80% of what they could have hoped for. They have largely reshaped Europe to...
  20. The Anglo/American - Nazi War

This would make a certain amount of sense, although the General Government area is so far gone that it is hard to imagine (the PArty has actually put its plan into place there, with results that are so bad that every time I tried to write about them early in the thread I freaked myself out and...
