  1. PC/WI: Delayed invasion of Vichy France

I don't think it would have changed much. A couple of occupation divisions would have been freed up to do something else. The Vichy territory did not contain a lot in teh way of military factories.
  2. Place In the Sun: What If Italy Joined the Central Powers?

I agree with almost everything you say, except for... Time will tell what happens there!
  3. Fremontian Fracas: An Earlier American Civil War

Let's say Fremont wins in 1856, and the South secedes shortly thereafter due to fear of Fremont taking action against slavery. Earlier American Civil War. What changes in this earlier American Civil War? Does the end result stay the same? Any generals that are more or less prominent?
  4. Defeat in WWI: Will France go radical or not?

I was thinking Russia and/or Italy would go fascist. Russia potentially making peace under Kerensky (no US loans to stay in) and Italy losing the monarchy after defeat (but March on Rome still happens).

Wrapped in Flames: The Great American War and Beyond

It's sort of sad that in about fifty years that chivalry like that becomes obsolete especially later in the following decades
  6. Place In the Sun: What If Italy Joined the Central Powers?

Yeah, the biggest difference is ultimately how Italy was compensated for all the blood it spilled so the Germans could bring France and Russia down and force Britain to the peace table. IOTL, Italy got scraps for all the blood it spilled against Austria-Hungary, supposedly on the basis of...
  7. Allies reject Japan’s peace offer

Obvously they should have surrendered and done the Ankou dance.
  8. Is an OPEC for iron ore unrealistic?

Would my ATL story work better if recycled steel gets embargoed? At this stage, I am thinking if switching entirely to a totally different mineral- maybe the tin mines in malaysia become unavailable etc etc ..........
  9. AHC/WI: A Royal Princess marries a guy who becomes the future President of the USA

The spouse could not become a citizen and retain the title. DHS regulations require "Any applicant who has any titles of heredity or positions of nobility in any foreign state must renounce the title or the position. The applicant must expressly renounce the title in a public ceremony and...

Tim Burton and Michael Keaton stays with Batman

I can see them staying on for a third, but I can see them doing more than that.
  11. Is an OPEC for iron ore unrealistic?

I am also trying to understand why is China's iron ore more expensive even though it does not need to be shipped across seas.
  12. Is an OPEC for iron ore unrealistic?

Not an expert but I read Copper alongside Tin is used in bronze alloy. But tin was not that common in Eastern Mediterranean, though copper was. It was speculated that disruption of tim supplies may be one of the contributing factors to the so-called 'bronze age collapse' of the Eastern...
  13. The camp David Accords fail

Israeli plans of this kind preceded the '73 war; there was considerable talk of settlements early in '73. Dayan favored them; in one article, he claimed "they didn't "necessarily preclude the eventual return of land to the arabs." But a commentator added: … "few observers expect Israel to...
  14. TL-191: Filling the Gaps

I think we can safely say that even if you factor in Occupied Canada, even Sonora, Chihuahua, Cuba, and Texas, TTL's American population will be at best the same as OTL's in 2021... and probably substantially smaller. If there are about 328 million Americans today... I'd say that TTL would have...
  15. Graphic Thread

On August 19, 2018, TIME had published its debut approaching the matters of pariah but a rogue state of Republic of Independent American States and the subsequent previous histories and historical period or events that the country had gone into downhill with the obscure nation is tightly...
  16. Marco Incognito

    Hearts of Iron IV "Fictionalization."

Another possible leader is El Santo. The Mexican Luchador made several films in which he had all sorts of different jobs(and always with the mask on with no one questioning it) so him showing up as the leader of Mexico isn't too far fetched within his own series. Her's on the left in this...
  17. Place In the Sun: What If Italy Joined the Central Powers?

The one thing I'll chime in with here is that the Italian success at the end of the war must be qualified somewhat. The Queen Elizabeth was a lucky stroke, and was really just me trying to give the British a kick where they wanted it least on the way down. The Bardonnechia Offensive and capture...
  18. Dunkirk Disaster causes Japan to attack Britain in December 1940

At this point I suspect the OP is trying provoke other posters into writing something actionable by the mods.
  19. The Empire Parnell Built

Did the legitimists still support installing the Spanish branch of the Bourbons by this point?
  20. Allies reject Japan’s peace offer

The Allies were broadly tired of the war at this point. Not accepting the unconditional surrender would have been political suicide both in the US and UK (though I can imagine Stalin not being terribly bothered by minor details like domestic politics...). So as much as Op Downfall is an...
