  1. Stupid Luck and Happenstance, Thread III

Ritchie and Lucia's wedding should have been big local news because of the attendance of Princess Kristina and her Consort, that should make them objects of curiosity to their neighbors and that could make them more amiable to having Ritchie and Lucia in the neighborhood.
  2. Geopolitics if China and India positions are switched

For one, the US would have more amicable relations with China and Pakistan, while relations with India would be more similar to those during the cold war, that is, something more like a frenemy. India and Russia would probably be much closer, while China would probably play both sides to get the...
  3. Old gaurd deployed earlier at Waterloo

At Waterloo, Napoleon essentially made the same mistake as he had done at Borodino, he deployed the old gaurd too late - although at Borodino he didn't deploy it at all. So what if Napoleon had sent in the old gaurd while there were enough of Ney's calvary left - for him too attack. By this...
  4. Es Geloybte Aretz Continuation Thread

To be honest, I'm not sure what its realistic for the Ottoman Empire to get. They do survive, the state actually proves itself despite everything and there are hard-fought victories. But their borders are very unfortunately placed. Turkestan, Chiva and Bokhara would be the natural direction...
  5. Armored trains post ww2

well this one was built in serbia during the Balkan break up of the early 1990's and this was Croatia's response. so post WW2 someone at least sort that armoured trains had a use in their conflict.

  7. What if Margaret Beaufort was born a boy?

He can NOT. He would need to fight or being discredited forever. Sure he can have Oxford and Jasper’s luck but the would be a much more preeminent commander than them being the head of the Beauforts. If Richard III still take the throne Beaufort would be either dead or a Yorkist (married to...

    WI Neutral Germany post WW2

I mean, this is basically the post-WW1 set-up, only this time, the Germans are geting a rather more sizeable army in the process. By doing this, the Western powers would have basically learned nothing, and merely put conditions in place allowing for round number 3. The German army geting...

Third Bard's the Charm: A High Byzantine TL

The Turks are still a few decades away. Guessing it is the Fatimids.

    I guess it's the turks?
  11. WI Neutral Germany post WW2

NATO and the Warsaw Pact have too much vested interest in Germany to allow that. Plus long-term Neutrality (ala Switzerland) takes ongoing commitment from within the country it's not something that can really be enforced from outside, so there's also the trust issue.

What if Margaret Beaufort was born a boy?

I guess, though it would’ve been fun. Or he could pull a Tudor and flee, considering Margaret’s instinct in OTL was to run it could happen here too. Or he could become the figurehead of opposition to Richard III.

    Return of Horrible Educational Maps

I think this is a coup by the space-time KKK manipulated by the Vatican and the Israeli government. 🤪 What drives me crazy is that I've already heard history teachers explain it to me. Anyway, as soon as you try to represent a sphere on a flat surface, there is bound to be an error.
  14. How much different would cancelling operation Barbarossa make on WW2

1). they rounding up and killed the undesirables/resistance in western, southern and central Europe as well 2). in WW2 Nukes are just big bombs. It's only after they were used and during the cold war they took on the extra meanings you describe. The death camps and the final solution is just...
  15. The Diamond Map Thread

I have to finish something for @krinsbez , but after that I'll try to get this done. Just one for tonight, from a world where Henry VIII died early and Anne Boleyn was regent for a while...
  16. What if Margaret Beaufort was born a boy?

No way as he will be much older and so he will be forced to choose a side BEFORE the Readeption and will be either killed or captured in the Lancastrian defeat, that unless he choose to side with the Yorkist (who would disqualify him from claiming the crown) but in that case would be likely a...

  18. Horus Triumphant - an Alternate Antiquity timeline

Rome does have the advantage of having been through less wars, but with the disadvantage of lacking the fertile Campania until recently. They should have around 200-300k citizens right now in Rome proper. Another factor in Rome's favor has been more consolidation, which was forced on them by...
  19. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

Phillips certainly did screw up, but remember that everyone in WW2 naval command was an armchair admiral who hadn't seen action since WW1. None of the great powers had been engaged in naval conflict since 1918.
