  1. 'Sanity options' for the Italian army, 1935-42

From what I've read about both V-P and MG-18, the later was a more useful weapon, and it was simple to make - that is a factor for Italy with it's industry. FWIW - MP-18 video by C&Rsenal (also mentinons the V-P).
  2. Effects and consequences if Brezhnev died in 1975

I’d hate for such a larger-than-life figure to leave the world stage a couple of years early, but I guess things happen. from the early 1970s . . . Comrade General Secretary checking out the ass of Jill St. John! I’ve always thought this photo showed his very human side.
  3. WI Francis of Austria, son of Maximilian I and Mary of Burgundy, lives to adulthood?

She was Ferdinand‘s daughter for the Church, and a wedding between them would made ZERO sense as try to guess for what reason Ferdinand remarried? A son by a new bride would inherit Aragon instead of Juana, who was married to Margaret‘s brother Philip (Ferdinand and Philip hated each other)
  4. The Reform Party: 20 Years of History

What's gonna happen to Rocky De La Fuente?
  5. WI: Alsace-Lorrena is not taken by the Prussians?

An old post ofmine (in reply to someone who said that Bismarck originally didn't want to annex Alsace-Lorraine: *** The correct formulation is not "Bismarck didn't want to annex Alsace-Lorraine" but "Bismarck didn't want to annex so much of Alsace-Lorraine." There was never any real possibility...

How would a presidency of Lyndon Larouche look like?

Special programs, Cointelpro, unethical experiments, can you think about him doing stuff like this?

WI Francis of Austria, son of Maximilian I and Mary of Burgundy, lives to adulthood?

I mean a Papal Dispensation could solve the late husband issue, though I did forget about that too. Henry VII is the most likely husband for Margaret of Austria here though (and frankly I love the idea of two marrying)
  8. How would a presidency of Lyndon Larouche look like?

I don't think he would--as I say, he was anti-Soviet by the 1980s, and ITTL he'd probably be even more so. A strong Russia as an ally against terrorism, a trading partner for his schemes of a tunnel across the Bering Strait, and a counterweight to his personal boogeyman of the...
  9. No Kriegsmarine cruisers or modern destroyers

The Germans had ample spare infantry. They sent only 100k men OTL, against 38k Allies and 55k Norwegians. Let's be generous and give the Norwegians another 15k men they are able to mobilize in Narvik and Trondheim. Do you really believe that that can make a such difference?
  10. WI Francis of Austria, son of Maximilian I and Mary of Burgundy, lives to adulthood?

She can NOT marry Ferdinand of Aragon, who was father of her first late husband and will NOT marry in France. Plus negotiations for a match between her and Henry VII were started before Philip’s death
  11. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

I still support sonic being the star of the main games, but I believe a fair compromise would be for Mighty to be the lead character in a successful series of spin off games that sell well but don’t become popular enough to overshadow the original Sonic.

How would a presidency of Lyndon Larouche look like?

x'D x'D x'D 🤣 🤣 🤣 What would be his relations with Putin? Could he sponsor Zyuganov on a vain hope to restore the USSR?

'Sanity options' for the Italian army, 1935-42

They already had the Villar Perosa, that the MP18 was based on. The Italians modified it slightly, as the OVP 18 in small numbers, also in 9mm Glisenti. It was delayed blowback, similar to the Blish lock in the Tommy gun, and equally (in)effective

    Alternate Aircraft of Nations

So much wastage and crappitude came out of that nonsense. Just Curtiss and Brewster alone cost the American taxpayer a half BILLION dollars, back when that was real money.
  18. OTL Election maps resources thread

@CobaltChloride - those are amazing finds. Having South Africa with an electoral system more like New Zealand or Denmark, rather than its OTL one, really shakes things up. If anything, the ANC looks to be even more dominant.
  19. How would a presidency of Lyndon Larouche look like?

I absolutely think he'd try to revive the rust belt, though how he goes about it might be unorthodox. Along the lines of trying to replace coal and light-manufacturing jobs with high-technology research positions (imagine a second NASA dedicated just to bringing fusion power into being) or...
