  1. An Arthurian Empire of Britannia discussion

I’m not so sure a hereditary primogeniture kingship would be the best way to go if you’re aiming for a United British isles emerging from a warlord Arthur led coalition. The technology of the time, coupled with geography and disparate nature of Britain’s peoples would almost certainly lead to a...
  2. Would the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Have Been Passed If JFK Lived?

I agree, CRA would've passed even if JFK didn't die idk why people think LBJ was the end all be all to getting it passed. also enough Senators (of both parties) had pledged their support before the assassination that the act was likely to pass regardless. RFK as AG got Leader Dirksen to get...

As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

Marseille is probably out due to the bedrock and the resulting difficulty in construction. Bordeaux and Toulouse might also be out because of the lack of available flat land compared to Paris, even with a downsized Euro Disneyland Resort. If Jr. doesn't have any connections to France like...

    Balkanized Iran after ww2?

Most likely Iraq due to geographic distance (although Iraq's anti-British government was supported by the Axis so it is maybe unlikely).

What if the InterWar RCN was given the same portional funding as the RAN?

It was first agreed to in 1932 but the US senate didn t get the 2/3 vote to pass.wasn't ratified until the Canadian government told the US it was going ahead with or without them. The welland canal portion was finished in 1932.
  6. Balkanized Iran after ww2?

It depends, Iran can be far more Balkanized, Baluchistan can be given to Pakistan , Khuzeistan can be given to Iraq if the British and US want to strengthen their allies. You could also create a independent Turkmenistan set up to encourage separatism in the USSR. Likewise you could see the...
  7. Balkanized Iran after ww2?

I was going to write something similar.

"If They Want It They Can Have It": Ulster's Tragedy.

Frustration at not being taken seriously by Westminster and the loss of the devolved government and direct rule from London. Not cracking down on republicans hard enough.
  9. Balkanized Iran after ww2?

I believe that the Soviet zone was split into 4 on ethnic lines; Kurdish, Azeri, Turkmen and one that would be like a North Iran. If that stuck (which would require a different relationship between Stalin and the allies), the Brits might give Khuzestan to Iraq or Kuwait and Baluchistan to Pakistan.

As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

Could we get an update on how people like Jack Kirby and Bill Finger are being treated? I think they should both be given some form of compensation and credit. I really want to see Lee and Kirby reconcile and continue their partnership.

    Q-Bam Historical Map Thread

Amazing map! But I have some stupid questions to ask. Stupid questions such as: Is that the Thuringii? The Angles are still in the Angeln peninsula?

"If They Want It They Can Have It": Ulster's Tragedy.

Spite? Insanity? I dunno, it hasn't really been explained why.
  13. "If They Want It They Can Have It": Ulster's Tragedy.

Thanks. Why did they declare independence? I was under the impression that the UK Prime Minister would be fine with them being in Ireland, and so had given them over somehow, which the rest of the UK didn't want, and the Ulster clique was fighting against.
  14. how different would world war two be if the Soviets lost the Russian Civil war?

No chance Nazis come to power with the Bolsheviks losing the civil war. The Nazis actually coming to power was a very unlikely event caused by a lot of convenient coincidences, with the number 1 reason it came to power was through anti Marxism, so if you remove the communist threat they never...
  15. What if the InterWar RCN was given the same portional funding as the RAN?

How much would that cost and long would it take?

"If They Want It They Can Have It": Ulster's Tragedy.

I'm just glad there's no Armalites and other firearms. Northern Ireland declared Independence from the UK. As in, they're now their own country. Meaning naturally, everyone Catholic up there suddenly is in fear of their lives, and were "encouraged" to go south by the Loyalists rampaging. The...
  17. How would a presidency of Lyndon Larouche look like?

Larouche was the kind of guy that believed in the most radical interpretation of those programs (i.e. the CIA is actively continuing those programs like MK Ultra and COINTELPRO into the modern day with omnipresent reach and power), but also wanted to co-opt and replicate them under his own aegis...

Dannggggg I've always wondered what a world map would look like that includes every political unit to its smallest. I tried opening the full map through ms paint, and my computer crashed lmaooooo

A Shift in Priorities - Sequel

Did the British socialists impose socialism on their African colonies? Are the falkland islands still inhabited by British? Did Australia and New Zealand declare themselves republics?
