OTOH would it tip them *permanently*?
I'm thinking of IL. When if=t became a State, the Northwest Ordinance had been in force for over 30 years, yet there was still a serious attempt to legalise slavery there. Wouldn't such a movement in KY andTN have been even stronger?
I suppose anything is...
Any possibility of the Danish submarines getting into the action? They could be a game changer!
By my count in 1940 the Danish navy had seven submarines, I have no Idea how capable they were or which if any were operational at the time.
Most of the intervening territory was inhabited by indians who tended to be pro-British so far as they took sides at all. And British lines of comunication to NS or Newfoundand were much more secure.
Certainly the Continentals could have taken Quebec given better luck. But thereafter the odds...
What if French Socialist leader Jean Jaurès had avoided is assassination in 1914?
Could he get France out of the war? If he failed at this could he have led a general strike?

John Kennedy takes a stand
In the days that followed, investigations by American law enforcement agencies, overseen personally by Bobby Kennedy and the Department of Justice, reconstructed the events leading up to and during the Birmingham Massacre.
The Attorney General confirmed that although...
Other than having a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits In Space and a vague Chinese connection there's not too much similarity to Firefly. Tonally it's much more in line with OG Trek or '70s Buck Rogers and visually, with all the crazy creature effects, it's a bit like Farscape.
Firefly's OTL debut was...
The simplest way would be to keep a very simple part from several ancient legal codes. If you died before being executed, you didn't count as executed and therefore, your possessions wouldn't be confiscated and would in fact go to your heirs. That alone would do a lot to help suicide get a...
One thing to bear in mind is that even though a lot of East Asian societies have worked exceptionally hard to crack down on polygamy and concubinage, it continues in altered forms to this day, particularly at the upper levels of society. It is an extraordinarily hard practice to stamp out, and...

We just need a Danish John McClane on the scene.
What was that?
Blucher can attest to having someone get the drop on them.
Lets not forget that the German pre-Dreadnoughts lost a sister at Jutland to a torpedo.
In the event of a Central Powers victory, I can't see Peter I of Serbia remaining the power, but I have *no* idea who ends up with the throne, The Austrians might want to replace the Karađorđevićs with an Obrenović, but were any left?
With the right POD and set of circumstances, France could have become the world's first Communist state nearly 50 years before the Russians.

As others have said:
1) Unlikely for the Nazis to come to power
2) If the Nazi's come to power, if a strong White Russia emerges, it will find it easier to ally with the UK and France during the interwar years than the USSR did IOTL, or may even act against Nazi Germany on its own accord...
It would help if initial Gothic presence was stronger. In a good scenario we can end up with entire Ukraine being Gothic but I dunno how to achieve that
