  1. Greeks also deported to the Levant during World War 1

Wikipedia isn't count the Palestinians It has it at 33.7% without counting the Syrians or Palestinians. https://www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/countries/lebanon/#people-and-society Regardless it's still not going to stop the Lebanese civil war.

The (Global) South Rises: Collaborative TL

Sounds good. If anything, it isn't completely impossible, as seen by the establishment of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1963: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organisation_of_African_Unity And the current African Union, established in 2002...

Trouble in Paradise - a Polish-Lithuanian civil war

Doesnt it though? Lithuania and Poland were naturaly hostile towards each other for a good part of their history. Lithuanian raids were especially problematic for Poland. They simply had conflicting interests. So assuming they are not tied together with a union having them at peace is unlikely.
  4. Air and Space Photos from Alternate Worlds.

cripes, jinkies, rut roh, oh ffs. lets hope their spacesuits are fluorine proof, because the landingsite is going to be rather contaminated.
  5. AU Fiction: CFL-USA - A different telling.

Could Honolulu work as an NFL/CFL/NAFL expansion/relocation spot? They have a stadium and a solid population. The only problem would be travel but that can be taken care of.
  6. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

    Good to know.
  7. Trouble in Paradise - a Polish-Lithuanian civil war

Nitpicking: Witold was not a "Hetman" (the 1st Lithuanian Hetman was appointed in 1497). He was made a regent of Lithuania with a title of the Great Duke by Astrava Agreement of 1392. :-)
  8. The Last Hanover: The Life and Reign of Queen Charlotte

Oh, possibly a spoiler! Though, it could be in a state in Germany too.
  9. Is it possible for Britain to remain the number one with a POD after 1900?

I do not think the decline was inevitable. Compare Japan and Great Britain in 1946. Yes Great Britain had many things going against it, but was it worse than Japan? Did Great Britain have two nuclear bombs dropped on it? Then compare Great Britain and Japan in 1980? Supposedly the Japanese...
  10. More effective Japanese ASW in ww2

Yes, but... The assessment of US capabilities was very different in that era. Plus US submarine doctrine had two parts: 1. Large fleet submarines would scout ahead of the Battle Line and make opportunity attacks on capitol ships. @. Smaller coastal submarines would provide point defense of...

The development of separate Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian nationalities/ethnicities

I feel like you've mostly stated the point well based on what you were trying to explain there, but there is also another factor that can sometimes define nationality as well as superficial aspects such as faith and language: economics. Larger countries tend to have separatist disputes due to...
  12. Stupid Luck and Happenstance, Thread III

I am going to guess that there won't be a traditional Coronation ceremony at the main Cathedral but a lower key but more impressive than an American Presidential Inauguration. The religious aspects being limited to the Invocation and Benediction with other blessings from various other religions...

"If They Want It They Can Have It": Ulster's Tragedy.

Nice. It does sound like paraphrasing the proclamation of the easter rebellion 1916 or stealing some line from it. It would be better if he got to say never, never, never at some point No surrender is a must too. Ian Paisley doing little boo peep looking for his lost sheep.
  14. As Dreamers Do: American Magic Redux

I'd like to see a movie based on the book White Noise by Dom DeBeglio. Maybe this could be Sam Raimi's warm up project at Columbia before he starts work on Batman.
  15. More effective Japanese ASW in ww2

Very. Also, in 1942 & 1943 single & twin engined bombers became very effective in sinking Japanese cargo ships. John Ellis in 'Brute Force' has the annual ships lost by Japan sorted by method. Mines, submarines, aircraft. The results for 1942-1943 are surprising. Even in 1944 aircraft were...

The Reform Party: 20 Years of History

The constitution party, also known as the U.S taxpayers’ party. Pretty sure they have governors now.
  17. WI: South Africa remains Dutch

Still, 1806 (the POD I meant to imply) is far away from 1899.
  18. WI: no Philip II of Macedon

So, my favorite way of eliminating Great Men... ... He is born a girl. Therefore someone much less capable takes over Macedon. Without his political and military skills, Macedon remains a kingdom on periphery of the Greek world. The briliant combined arms army also does not materialize...
  19. WI: Canada accepts Article Eleven and joins the United States?

I don't know if this is a good reference since is ASB as there is a time traveler, but in my TL there existed a patriot-like society based in Montreal which aimed for more autonomy and reforms for the province and protection for their culture (pre-Quebec act) which also exploited the resentment...
  20. Germany's 'Inspired' Strategic Bombing Options

I don't think that's the main issue. I think the issue is that the allied airdefence was very good organized. And that the allies usually had airsuperiority, or were able to achieve it when they put their effort into it. If I'm not mistaken at for instance Sicily in the beginning of the campaign...
