Dread Nought but the Fury of the Seas

Sorry to continue the minor derail, but if it's very important to have the red and gold, then maybe put the red into the cross and the gold into the inner stripes, like this: (click thumbnail for larger image) The red cross could be seen as a nod to socialism as well. I did play around with...

The format goes 'Rank First-name Surname, #th Duke of Place' so if the current Duke were a FM, his formal title would be 'Field Marshal David Manners, 11th Duke of Rutland'. Verbally, military personnel would address him as 'Field Marshal' or plain 'Sir' whilst otherwise he'd be addressed as...

I agree. Most flags with dragons, lions, etc evolved from coats of arms using these as charges, so the same could happen with foxes. Have a look here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Foxes_in_heraldry There are a few examples there which could easily become flags.

A New Coat of Arms Thread

@Keperry Any reason why Saxland is the only kingdom with a helm, mantling and crest? It looks a little strange next to all the others with just crowns above the shields. It's also the only one with a motto. Agreed.

Have a look on this site - they have lots of .svg maps. Links: UK with counties and Ireland with counties. At first glance the UK looks up-to-date, but I haven't looked closely. I don't know enough about Irish counties to check it at all. A minor word of warning - the site uses the Mercator...

I didn't even know there was a Mormom flag until now, but my DuckDuckGo-foo hasn't failed me and yes, it does look a bit like that, doesn't it? A darker blue though and as long as it fits @TrashMammal2019 's needs / TL, then I'll just leave it.

Actually I meant off-centre compared to the logo, not the words - see the lines I've added.

How's this? (click the thumbnail for the full-size image) The canton is smaller relative to the overall flag than the OTL USA flag. That's because I decided to leave it with a white stripe below the canton, as otherwise the long blue-on-red looks wrong, imo. The proportions of the flag...

Also struggling. I'm not good with logos and that's what most theme park flags are - company logos on flags.

When is this state founded? I ask because the way flags were designed has changed somewhat over the centuries, so a state formed in the 16th century would have a different style to its flag than one formed in the 20th or 21st centuries, for example.

@Byzantion As @Bytor said back in post 374, there's no need to quote the first post every time you ask a question. You only need to quote if it would otherwise be unclear what you're responding to. Thanks.
