Sorry if This has came up before but I recently heard of this book. Supposedly a modern U S navy officer is washed overboard and picked up by a British warship, in 1781. Anyone know about this book Written by t. m. grundner a few years ago. Is it worth buying? Please help me out.

Just got it read. A few faults but not the usual ones. The characters seem more believable. The wehrmacht captain is definitely damaged goods but not a bad man. There are a couple of minor glitches, a German officer would have had a sidearm beside his issue MP-40 and the NAZI's weren't big...

In checking the list of amazon.com books by Stirling, I noticed that the "Islands in the Stream" series are being re-issued. That normally means that a new book in that series is being contemplated. Does anybody know if that is true? If you read the last book, He definitely left the door open...
